The problem is the site, no one knows about it, many people cannot even get their regular customers to come over to wp, and basically the site is not buyer friendly.
[/quote]

I was thinking exactly this today. After being told (not personally but in the constant board reminders) to 'check your products, price, shipping' etc as though there was something wrong with the sellers, I literally started to question if maybe I was doing something wrong. Then all I had to do was sign in to eBay and realize - nope, my sales are super strong w/ the the same product and HIGHER prices, lol.

The problem IS with the site. Unfortunately, some of these poor sellers are blaming themselves somehow thinking they're not doing enough or not doing it right. Similar to an abuser/abusee relationship where the abuser in part keeps control of the abusee because they are able to manipulate the abusee into thinking they MUST be doing something wrong. Damn scary in my book.

Edited to add: Is abusee a word, lol? If not, I'm too tired to fix it - I think y'all know what I meant

Eclectica, the terminology would be abuser and victim, or offender and victim. Either way your point is dead on. All abusive relationships are about power and control. To gain control over another is a matter of convincing the other person that everything is their fault including the abuse.

What is so bizarre in this whole situation is that these people don't know Ray or each other except in the context of the boards. It is very interesting that the powers of mind control can exert themselves in cyberspace. In the real world it makes sense because the people have physical contact. This is a case that psychologists should do research on. If people can be brainwashed simply by participating in a forum, the consequences of that could be devastating.  :blinkie:

It's terrible over there.  The lady that uses the Fairy Godmother logo is taking a medical leave until next year.  The one that makes the hairbows closed and yet another says they are about to follow.  All before Christmas.

The weird thing is that no one is offering to pay their store fees, etc., to keep them open until they can get back.  That is really unusual.

Fab,

She isn't gone yet (store with 67 items) but Pippins in on her way out. At WP, before I was escorted off the premises, she had been missing from the boards for a bit and finally posted something about still here but busy. Then I read somewhere her announcement of closing for a while.  :o
