"Sweetheart, I guarantee hands-down if you stay THERE you will lose money each and every month until you get a clue. People that walk around with their heads in a cloud imagining that someday, if they just wish hard enough it will come, are NOT businesspeople. I WORK 14-16 hours per day."

I'm all ears if you want to explain how $600. in sales from a store that costs $9.95 is losing money.  (BTW I work about 1/2 hour a day.  I spend the rest of my time caring for myself and my son.)
1/2 hour a day?? You just proved me right. So that $600.00 was what - over 6 months? No thanks.

Edited to add: BTW if this is the seller these quotes were in reference to - do NOT twist my words. If you can only work 1/2 a day - hey, I understand you may not be able to do more. But I can't survive on hit-or-miss sales. I have to eat, my kids need food, clothes, etc. I have no other help, therefore I DO have to work as much as I do.

"Ok seriously now - no ridiculing involved. You say Victory will come. EXACTLY what do you mean by that? What is your victory? Are we talking sales/money? If so, come on and tell me what you made this month on your victorious site."

That Popper has made near $600. in recent sales (only counting WP sales, not other income sources).  Two house payments could not have been made without those WP sales.  Some might call that a victory especially considering that her store isn't even nearly finished yet due to major health problems and other life challenges.
I will admit that there are a couple sellers doing ok on WP. You can find the same on any small Ebay alternative.  Unfortunately, the majority of sellers never make enough to cover the fees due to the less than 1% sell through rate.

Absolutely. It seems some of the 'niche' sellers have done well. Its also very obvious that they're active on the boards. If you don't have time (or inclination) for that and you're not offering a niche type product, it looks like you're pretty well sunk.

That $600. was over a few weeks.  Laugh all you want to if you think it's funny and think $600. is nothing.  Next time you're sick and in constant physical pain and life is throwing every challenge imaginable at you, let me know if you can make more than $600./month working about 1/2 hour/day on a brand new website with an unfinished store.

Do not assume you know anything about me. You are dead wrong in the assumption you just made.

Second, this has NOTHING to do with your challenges or mine. You have missed the point. You could make a lot more money elsewhere. Period.

That is great and I am happy for this person you have told us about. A few more question's though.

Have you made any money on WP?
Can you name 5 more people that are making this $600.00 every few weeks?
Has this person done this $600.00 every month?
Has anyone that you know of done this for 4 months straight?

Well, I don't hide behind a fake name.  I was there.  I was a cheerleader.  I woke up FAST.  Some people who cater to a niche market will do well anywhere.  I made enough money, I'm on vacation now for the holidays and am building a new store.  So, Powerseller, I'm not even working until after the first of the year.  I'm not in business to sing Kumbaya or kiss KaRay's  Bootyshake.  The reason I am in business for myself is that I don't have to bow down to a PITA boss.  Face it, KaRay is your boss.  You pay him for the pleasure of being treated like a moron if you have a valid concern or business suggestion.

If you can't face the truth as we, the former sellers, see it, don't come here.  Stay in popland and mind your store.

If you want to know more, hang out and discuss it.

You are so right eclectica!  That is the whole point.

I made nearly that much just today on MY WEBSITE which has only been up for about six weeks, selling in a market where sellers/websites are a dime a dozen.  I only pay $8.95 a month, no FVFs and I probably haven't spent 1/2 hour working on the site in the past two weeks!

Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

One day....RayVagina will visit this forum and post incognito..he/she will not be able to resist....

Powerseller...seriously what gives?..what is your bottom line. Are you trying to convince some of us to go back and give it a whirl? or that the site is indeed an honest venue ..and not run by a dictator?...or that the sellers there are indeed making it quite well financially?
I am not sure?
or are you Rayvagina?

The sellers on WP can stay there ..I personally don give a rat's a** as they should not be concerning themselves what I do or not..You cannot convince me of much as....I have been there and done it and have pretty much formed my own opinion as you have yours...
this is NOT a competition....this is not tit for tat...most of the nice people here at TT...if not all ....are pretty much proffesional and have been there and done it also...so until you get booted and your opinion changes..I dont want to know your imaginary so called stories. :turkey1:

I love these smiley thingy's...and yes I know I have too much to say..."me a big mouth"
sorry folks!
