Ray flooding the forums with promised upgrades seems to have worked. Poppers are brimming with excitement.

Quote:I feel a fresh excitement in the air here at Wagglepop!

A fun listing contest to get us all going with listing again.
An increase of new-to-Wagglepop customers.
The after-holiday shopping season soon upon us.
Lots of great announcements for new things coming our way soon.
And a new year with exciting possibilities just around the corner.

I think our atmosphere has changed for the better....does anyone else feel the excitement around here?

I actually could hardly sleep last night because I was so anxious to get back on the computer and get my store in shape. I just had a nice sale this morning from a great new customer and this is so much fun!

How will we apply our philosophies to the site? Our intention is to create an online auction alternative that is responsive to the marketplace both internally and across the Web, that is representative of it's membership and that is fair and equitable for all members.

We don't do listing contests to inflate site statistics. That's meaningless.

We don't have different rules for different members. Without fairness, there cannot be genuine competition.

We don't allow outside advertising that competes with items and products offered by our sellers. We fully support all Wagglepop sellers to the complete exclusion of any outside competition.

We certainly will not splinter the site or funnel business to alternative venues, whether "express" or not. We support Wagglepop as a full solution marketplace for buyers and sellers alike, and everything we do is directed squarely at that philosophy. Anything less would simply be wrong.

You have every right to have the same high expectations of us that we have of ourselves. We will make mistakes ..... but if we make a mistake, or something goes wrong, we'll fix it. If we can't fix it, we'll find someone who can. If they can't fix it, we'll ask for help. It's just as simple as that.

Everyone here at Wagglepop works for you. Everyone. From the Customer Care Team to the designers to the programmers ..... we're here for one reason and one reason only:

To make a difference.

Together, we can change everything.

Its true they don't have any official listings contests. Of course, they don't see anything wrong with the sellers having weekly listing contests.

Sweet, you forgot to bold "INFLATE SITE STATISTICS".

Can someone tell me what this means?

Thumbsup

I think that was just a backhand comment directed to eBay.  So many store sellers were irate over eBay creating Express instead of promoting Stores.  Ray, the saleman, knew this would strike a nerve and once again played on the sellers feelings.

That's the only way WP has gotten the business it has and it's the only way they will ever get business.  As long as eBay raises fees and makes unpopular changes, Ray will have a fresh crop of sellers ready to "join the revolution".  :Smile

Smoke and mirrors, playing on emotions.  WP Business Strategies 101.  Puke

Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Playing on sellers' feelings has been his trademark since Poop1 was announced.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Time for a little comic relief:

This just popped into my head while doing my last listing:

To the tune of The Who's "We Won't Get Fooled Again"

They are spamming on the net
And they always get upset
When someone comes to question Wagglepop
While the staff just spurs them on
Praising the adoring throng
Kumbaya to all and won’t you come to shop

I flip the bird to the Popper Constitution
Heave and puke for the auction revolution
Can’t believe this dancing all around
Pick up my keyboard and type
Expose the Popper hype
Then I'll get on my knees and say
I won’t get fooled again

I had to blow the Pop
Because no one came to shop
I was liberated from the dork parade
Pop 1, Pop 2, the same
Nothing much has changed
Since fuzzy slipper guy made his eBay board tirades

I can’t believe the Popper Constitution
Hypocrites in the auction revolution
Pick up my ol’ mouse and click
Grateful I got out there quick
Poor fools can’t see that Ray’s a dick
I won’t get fooled again.
No, no!

I'll move my listings to where they’ll be viewed
And where everyone won’t come unglued
’Cause I’m wond’ring what for us could be in store
I won’t even have to fudge my feedback score

Oh?

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

They’ll keep spamming on the net
But no buyers they will get
’Cause who wants to give a charlatan the biz
Still the staff spur poppers on
With the Kumbayatic song
Pulling posts when someone feels that something’s wrong

I gasp and choke at the Popper Constitution
It’s a one-way contract for the auction revolution
Ray’s sits happy as a clam
Counts his cash while Poppers spam
Waiting for the ‘Bay to hike again
Then I'll get on my knees and say
I won’t get fooled again
Don't you get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new “Pop”
Same as the old “Pop”
