Ray flooding the forums with promised upgrades seems to have worked. Poppers are brimming with excitement.

I feel a fresh excitement in the air here at Wagglepop!

A fun listing contest to get us all going with listing again.
An increase of new-to-Wagglepop customers.
The after-holiday shopping season soon upon us.
Lots of great announcements for new things coming our way soon.
And a new year with exciting possibilities just around the corner.

I think our atmosphere has changed for the better....does anyone else feel the excitement around here?

I never lost my initial excitement so I'm positively peeing my pants now... what a fabulous adventure we are all on!!

You are so right! I never lost my initial excitement either, but it's growing by the day. I actually could hardly sleep last night because I was so anxious to get back on the computer and get my store in shape. I just had a nice sale this morning from a great new customer and this is so much fun!

Meanwhile the store count has dropped to 619

How will we apply our philosophies to the site? Our intention is to create an online auction alternative that is responsive to the marketplace both internally and across the Web, that is representative of it's membership and that is fair and equitable for all members.

We don't do listing contests to inflate site statistics. That's meaningless.

We don't have different rules for different members. Without fairness, there cannot be genuine competition.

We don't allow outside advertising that competes with items and products offered by our sellers. We fully support all Wagglepop sellers to the complete exclusion of any outside competition.

We certainly will not splinter the site or funnel business to alternative venues, whether "express" or not. We support Wagglepop as a full solution marketplace for buyers and sellers alike, and everything we do is directed squarely at that philosophy. Anything less would simply be wrong.

You have every right to have the same high expectations of us that we have of ourselves. We will make mistakes ..... but if we make a mistake, or something goes wrong, we'll fix it. If we can't fix it, we'll find someone who can. If they can't fix it, we'll ask for help. It's just as simple as that.

Its true they don't have any official listings contests. Of course, they don't see anything wrong with the sellers having weekly listing contests.

I think that was just a backhand comment directed to eBay.  So many store sellers were irate over eBay creating Express instead of promoting Stores.  Ray, the saleman, knew this would strike a nerve and once again played on the sellers feelings.

That's the only way WP has gotten the business it has and it's the only way they will ever get business.  As long as eBay raises fees and makes unpopular changes, Ray will have a fresh crop of sellers ready to "join the revolution".  :
