TO ALL:

Please read my last post. THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON IN THE WORLD clickety-clicking would benefit and why.
I would not be surprised if Ray was doing the clicking.  Although, its more likely other sellers since they are the only ones that know about Wagglepop.
I think there's a bit of both there. Interestingly enough, one Popper did add to the discussion saying that he cannot attribute one sale from the ads. He even pointed out that since WP doesn't get a lot of outside traffic, the program probably isn't worth much. This is one of the newest cheerleaders. I'm waiting for someone to jump in and tell him he's not spending enough money/running enough ads.

Wave Cash! Nice to see you!

Platzki, while I'm really glad the rest of you finally showed up so I'm not hearing echoes on the thread - my monitor does NOT thank you for the coffee spewing going on. As always, you crack me up girl!!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Another WP cheerleader doesn't seem that happy about the effectiveness of adsmart.

Quote:I put $15 into my account for AdSmart. I have 36 different ads running
across several catagories - been running for 12 days now. Haven't seen
any sale which could be directly attributed to one of the AdSmart ads.

I'm still dubious about how beneficial a tool AdSmart is at this point in
time since it's an one-site system and there's simply not that much
browsing traffic on Wagglepop yet. As such I wouldn't expect to see
much of an impact from it.

Add to that the fact that placement of ads are hard to refine to a target
audience for since you can only select a master category, not refine it
to a sub-category. This is part of the reason why it seems the ads that
appear above a certain sub-catagory or item search appear totally
unrelated to the subject being searched.

It's an iffy proposition right now. For $15 it was worth a try and I got to
familiarize myself with the system so when it is a stronger sales tool
I'll know how it works.

On the other hand, all it would take is the right customer to see an ad
and make a good sale from them to make it all worthwhile.

I'm patient. I'm working my other avenues to get my storefront name
out in the public eye and having good success with those efforts. To
make a real go of things here it's going to take a combination of efforts
to get your listings seen.

Personally I think the most important thing to improve AdSmart would
be refining to at least the sub-catagory where an ad gets placed. That
more than anything would make it a more valuable tool.

Of course there was a comment cheering Karen for her hard work and slamming the WP naysayers.

Quote:Hi Karen, thanks for the post. Very reassuring. You are on top of things as usualSmile It is realy sad that some people have nothing better to do than come read our boards and make fun of good people trying to make a living. Grown adults acting like children. This is a bit off topic but I just want to say thank you to WP for giving me a great selling alternative.

Hmm, I wonder how they would know that others read the WP boards and make comments about it.  Icon_scratch

I just posted the comment you are referring to.  He is the one that is offering a full years fee as the reward for a listing contest.  So even the cheerleaders are questioning the effectiveness of that program.

Quote:Adsmart is not an advanced tool poppers, Ray paid 99.00 for the software, so big whoop.

Correction: Ray paid nothing. Poppers paid for it themselves with the first 5 or so folks who signed up. After that, it's gravy in Ray's pocket, not counting the software purchase tax deduction.

Edit: Assuming, of course, that the software is actually new and licensed.

Good morning and thank you for the welcomes.  Wave

My only comment about the idea of people from clicking ads intentionally is ridiculous.  I don't think anyone has anything against the sellers there or would cause them an added expensive. lol at the idea of wp owners doing it.  I never understood the introduction of adsmart as it was an expense better spent elsewhere.

It appears that many of the poppers come here and read these boards.

During WP1 all the poppers including Ray blamed OTWA for everything. WP2 will now blame TT. Leave it to a narcissist personality like Ray to lay the blame on everyone else rather than take responsibility for anything.

Focus of this thread for anyone new reading it.
1. Point at out flaws at WP.
2. Reveal the WP owner's true cause. (himself).
3. Enlighten sellers of other venues that are cheaper and more profitable.
4. Therapy for former sellers who have either found the better road, booted for unfair reasons    or left for any other reason that made them uncomfortable. (No sales, hence not eating, etc.)
5. Not to do damage to sellers by costing them more $$$ by clicking needlessly on ads that will increase Ray's profit margin.

Just my humble opinion......Carry on! :hoxmasgrinch: (I love that grinch smiley!)

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I have said it before and I will say it again for anyone who missed it - nobody wants to click on those ads.  It was discussed here earlier and we all felt sorry for the poppers who bought into Ray's latest scheme.  We are only here to inform the general public, not harm any misguided sellers at WP.

That being said, I feel that the only "outside" person clickety clicking would be Ray himself.  No one else would really benefit.  Clickety click, the seller runs out and has to refill account - sales or not.

OF COURSE! The only reason KaRay posted that assinine rant (in violation of their own board policy) on the WP board was to divert attention before Poppers could figure that out. Nothing else makes sense.
