Alskling you are sooo right!
Check out this post... Quote:Well, this was a surprise. I did a search on Ebay and came up with a sponsored ad: Do the poppers not get it? This is NOT an ad to get BUYERS!! It's directed to get more sellers! For goodness sake people. Get a clue! :
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
user391 how dare you call me a complainer or a quitter. I am neither of those things. I am a realist who is smart enough to jump off of a sinking ship while I still have time. Kudos to you for making sales at WP. At least two out of 329 stores are seeing some action....or so you say....
I have site meter on my WP site. My traffic since I have opened.... A total of 1,061. Average Visits Per Day 3. And one of those visitors was probably me! Yesterday was my busiest day, a total of 8 visits, 6 from the same person. Someone was very interested in what I was doing! My traffic at my other site. Month of Feb. 28,152. And that is a slow month. I have not been putting in a lot of time there because I have been busy doing other things. Even without time spent there I still continue to consistently make sales and make a profit. I don't need to hear that I need a better product, better listings, better blah, blah, blah.........I have been selling on line successfully for almost eight years. A Complainer? NO! A Quitter? NEVER! Just a realist who chooses to put my time and money into something that will pay off in the end. I was taught not to lie and not to mislead people and I live by those rules. I refuse to let someone do that to me and then actually pay them to do it! I would be a fool to continue and let me tell you my parents did not raise a fool! Good Luck to you and to those who continue on with WP. I by no means wish anyone any bad will. I am just choosing not to be one of you. Have a great day! |

Congrats to you on your sales, Unique!
I don't want to copy and paste the "negative" WP thread so generously brought to us by iwant, so here are my comments only: Once again, it is the seller fault - broke that "trust", not enough listings, not enough , not enough feedback purchases from other sellers....yada yada yada Time to get a new record Raytard, this broken one is pretty old.
I hate stupid people!

I will throw my numbers into the ring. February WP sales = 20 items for a total dollar amount of $391.95 The WP sellers who sell many items every month do not give a hoot about this thread. Most of the numbers that you have so far are from the complainers and quitters rather than the sellers who are selling a lot and building for the future. FYI
complainers and quitters That's just too hilarious to honour with a intellectual response.
Good morning all - I haven't had time to visit this thread and participate in awhile. The question was asked about sales in Feb so I decided to add my 2 cents. Sales for me in Feb: 77 items sold. Total sales $ amount: $449.75. I do not spam boards to get my sales. I just list items and people are finding me by searching Yahoo and Google. I have seen an increase in hits to my store since the "grand opening". Also I've had a lot of new buyers buying my items. So apparently the phone verification isn't deterring people from signing up. I've noticed a lot of auction sites are doing the phone verification for both sellers and buyers now. Hope you find this information useful. UniqueSeller
When the store count was in the 900s a person would have been accused of being delusional if they had theorized at the time that the count would drop to the 300s in a matter of months. But it happened. So if I predict the store count will drop to the 100s in as many months would I have any believers? With the exception of yourselves, I think so. US and User, if you are experiencing sales, all the power to you. Grab them while you can - they won't last. If you wish to exist in isolation, thinking solely of the health of your business, who are we to argue. However doesn't the entire health of the venue you are tied to cause you just a bit of concern? Would you two perhaps be neighbours in Stepford?
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

Jo Jo,
Yep, it's gone and so is the one you just quoted. Ray's finger must be getting sore don't you think?

I love this guy's tenacity. I found this one on the Sunday Share Your Wares thread. KaRay must have missed it. Jo Jo I suspect his account was terminated by WP and he has probably received his "we don't feel you are a good fit to our trust-based community" email in explanation.
