Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hey all,
Coming out of lurk mode to reply to this...
Just wanted to say the reason behind this thread was to also help other designers on these boards As you see i say terry may be along to help. Hoping she would see this and use it to promote her business. I was creating little siggies not logos and only to drive traffic to my store, or other designers who participated. And at the same time helping new sellers. Anyway I wanted to clear that up for you!
I have a difficult time understanding how giving away logos for free could possibily benefit a graphic designer who does this for a living. Why should I give away the one commodity that earns me a living and keeps the roof over my head? I sincerely admire your kind and generous offer to help sellers who didn't have a siggy make a presence on the board. Once that offer was out there, though, even sellers who might have had a budget for a logo likely wouldn't purchase one, let alone a SECOND one. Why should they? Even if it wasn't exactly what they wanted, most would simply stick with it anyhow because the price was right. Whether it was related to the offer or not, I'm not sure, but I certainly noticed a drop in business from that point forward. Let's turn the tables a bit, and use your toy business as an example... Say somebody comes to you and says, "Once I have the XYZ action figure, my collection will be complete. Oh, but I can't afford to buy it. Wanna just give it to me?" Knowing that once they have that one, they aren't likely to be back for more, would you still give it to them as a means of promoting your business? My guess is no. However, all this said, it was not the reason I left Wagglepop. 'Nuff said. Back to lurkdom... Terry |

Good grief Sweet, I hope nobody flushed a toilet while that bird glided past. Not a pretty sight and can be dangerous to ground flora and fauna.
If I say DUCK - INCOMING please react immediately. Head for the interior of your fridge where everything is cool. You just can't trust those finicky metal tubes in the sky...

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
WAGGLEFACT OF THE DAY
Inform yourself with the facts.
The links below are provided for all to check out and make your own judgment. The first link is where the software for the WP AdSmart program comes from. The second link is the WP site program and the source of most of the so called upgrades that have been promised or are active at this time. http://www.revsense.com/ http://www.rscript.com/ To any and all WP sellers, former sellers and people who are thinking of selling on WP do yourself a favor and inform yourself with the information from these two links. I will not comment at this time to allow everyone to judge for themselves how & why WP implements the features of both programs. I will say this though everyone on TT is dedicated to informing the sellers with the facts about WP without the intensions of hurting any hardworking sellers that use the site. Below is the post from YOHB from today and I wish to thank her for what she said as it fits everyone from TT as to how they feel about WP. I feel it is worthy enough to be included in this wagglefact so this is my way of thanking her. Quote:There is a misconception formed by the lurkers which has been expressed as fact on the WP board as well as others I've read. I hate ugly unfounded lies so I believe it is time to address the issue head on. Being; clicking on WP ads randomly. If your financial wad has been blown from your AdSmart account, don't look for the culprit here because they are not a resident. If you are suspicious of click throughs to your store check out another bar. No one's nursing that drink here. And no one posting on TT has been, is presently, or will ever, stoop to the level of callously clicking on WP ads to drain accounts and place a further monetary burden on the misguided sellers who foolishly enrolled with the program. Many of us have recently posted confirmation in support of this. Listen up. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." X-POP NATION, A real seller's network |

Wake-me-up You don't know me, but I just wanted to let you know I always admired your work, and had I opened up a store on WP, I would have utilized your services. Many people respect you greatly, and it is appreciated that you came here and told your side of this situation. |
