What the heck is this??? I was reading the forums on WP, there is a thread about the store links being broken sometimes, and also the feedback link from someone's store landing page wasn't working consistently. I took a look at the broken feedback link - I have some knowledge of coding, and I thought I saw an error in the URL, so I changed the line a bit. I got an error message that included at the bottom "IP logged. Documented as # 67034001 for legal" ??? So I went to the WP home page, and again changed something in the URL (after the .com/ part) to some random characters. Again, the "legal" warning, and a new number. Is this a feature of rscript, or more paranoia? JoJo
ign025: Beware of the big bad legal department. The kitty and bunny are watching you! That is too frickin funny.

Hey Truth, There actually was a potential seller who went to WP and asked for 10 reasons why he should become a seller. Go back on this thread and see mine. Anyway, if I weren't so tired I could add to your list. Good job!!! Lurkers, PLEASE READ TRUTH'S POST!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regarding my last post on TT, I finally got into PSU by re-enterring my ID and password, which I've never had to do before in however long I've been registered there -- (I was registered for many months before I actually posted) --- so no panic. Whew!
Alskling, I saw your list once before but I have been to busy reading the FAS forum for WP to go back and look it up plus listing on ecrater and other venues. I must say you are doing a great job on PSU though. It seems like current WP sellers are scared to come to TT and discuss WP. The few that have were hit and run jobs. I have also noticed things are at a stand still on WP right now (home page listing count) and the boards must be quiet over there as well. I haven't been to the boards on WP since I was booted so all my info comes from TT posts or public WP info. I will however do some math tomorrow so as to have a reference of the year end figures. Expect alot of confusing numbers in tomorrows wagglefact if you know what I mean. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." X-POP NATION, A real seller's network |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Here is the 10 reasons to sell on WP tread, kind of long. For those who cannot get on to read it
Edited to note: Where does anyone say "Cuz I'm getting rich"? I am asking experienced WP members for their help and support. I posted awhile back about watching the developments on this venue. I wish to start selling after the first of the year. I cannot start at this time (my accountant and business advisor have a fit when I start a new project at the end of a year). After the fiasco at eBay during 2006 with great business losses they have advised me to pick several sites and watch then make a decision which one or two to sell on. I've narrowed it down to 4 sites and I am posting this same question on all 4. We all need assistance sometimes in making business decisions and I need your help. I am asking for 10 good reasons I should sell here other than the store fees, Red Carpet and Adsmart. I will respect and take into consideration all of your replys. Thank you in advance. Well, top customer support would be one great reason to sell here. My questions and concerns have always been addressed quickly by Karen. Another reason would be this great community of store owners who offer encouragement and support and caring. The more than fair fee structure is a HUGE reason, but here are 10 more that I can think of off the top of my head. 1. The ability to set up a beautiful store. 2. Total freedom to list any number of items without having to worry about how many you can afford to list. 3. Awesome community support from intelligent, talented, creative, and helpful fellow sellers. 4. Automatic feeding of listings to Google Froogle and Google Base. 5. Customer Service, staff, and ownership dedicated to success. 6. Ease of listing items and revising existing listings quickly. 7. Unlimited future potential. 8. Ability to list in all formats at no additional cost and have unlimited automatic relisting until items sell. 9. Ability to discuss needs and wants with staff and often get a very speedy and thoughtful response. 10. Buy More Now program increases your odds of making more multiple item sales instead of single item sales. I can't say enough about the community of sellers...and buyers too! All you have to do is look at the Prayer Request threads to see the outpouring of love and support that we give each other. There's usually someone to help answer questions, whether it's another seller or WP Customer Care. Customer Care rocks like no other! Courteous answers, prompt answers, just all around the best I've found! All the reasons listed, but recently, I've become aware of how poor customer service is on some of the other sites, so I have to reinforce how excellent that service is... personalized answers fast on every one of my many, many requests. If you have ebayed, you'll find this site designed to mimic the best parts of that so you can get flying right off the bat. This also benefits buyers who come here and find it all very familiar, yet cleaner and NO ADVERTISING (can you believe what they are doing over thEre with guiding folks off-site with their advertising). Staff here is always quick to take advice and ideas from the members, which is encouraging. The community has been encouraged to feel part ownership in the POP, and this will be one of its biggest strengths. The paper sellers (postcards, paper, ephemera) and the book sellers are already banding together to cross-sell and promote each other to make this a destination site for those specialties. There's a few mini-malls doing the same thing for a variety of stores. Everyone is exchanging ideas for guerilla marketing. The staff is working to keep the boards kind, friendly and supportive -- no need for posting IDs here. Since we are all working our tails off, many still phasing off of ebay and running multiple stores for the first time and even setting up their own websites, it helps to have a soft place to land at the end of the day for support, encouragement or a laugh. Finally, tell a friend or 2 that you are thinking about Wagglepop and then name 3 of the other sites. 2 days later (or even an hour later), ask them for all the site names. Chances are (in my experience, 100% of the time), they'll ONLY remember Wagglepop. The rest will go something like this, "errrr.. bid auction hi buy moon... some kind of bird?" Name recognition is crucial for attracting and keeping new buyers. Thank you all for your excellent replys. I am still open to more answers. I'm making a check list.. and will let this and the other 3 threads run until the 24th to give sellers time to post... Thank you again...This is great! All of the above, and one more that I can think of. Where else will your competitors actually HELP you do better. I have seen this over and over. Great advise, sharing marketing ideas, and even going as far as some sellers actually putting competitors links in their own auctions. All for the good of the cause. Now where else are you going to find that??? Welcome to the Revolution !! Angel mentioned the customer service but I'd like to expand on this. Her name is Karen, her wagglepop name is "WagglepopCC1" and she gives personalized service. None of this to whom is may concern garbage but you'll be mentioned by screen name and her help is also followed by words of encouragement. A lot will depend on what you sell, how much time and effort you want to spend at it and what your goals are. You can't top Wagglepop for all the above reasons ... so there's not much reason to list them again ... but we're all new here and have a long way to go. Most of us have a number of years in the selling field under our belts, so it won't take forever. The collectors are just now finding us but normal everyday items are starting to show a profit at the end of the month. Don't expect a full time income the first month you're open ... or the second ... or the third ... that goal is still on the horizon but the potential is better here than anywhere else on the internet. If you're wanting the best alternative in this field ... Wagglepop is your answer. I totally agree with all the great things mentioned above. One thing I would like to point out that I don't think I 've seen mentioned yet... Wagglepop is STORE FRIENDLY! The last "place" I auctioned at made a store look like a bother, a store owner feel unwanted. That's my 2 cents...for what it's worth. I should add that I don't have a lot of the problems here that I have on 'E'. Just today I had my account there taken over by an unauthorized 3rd party, then access to my account was blocked for a while. On top of that I have a non-paying buyer from an August 6th transaction (yes, 3 1/2 months ago) that I went far out of my way to work things out with, they still haven't sent any payment, I FINALLY had to leave negative feedback (3 1/2 months, good gravy, how much more patient and accomodating can you be). Now this buyer has said that she will leave me negative feedback because I left it for her. Huh??? WT_??? Thank God that I have had 100% wonderful and paying buyers here! I am a STORE seller through and through. Wagglepop is very store oriented unlike a certain larger site that shall remain nameless that considers their once-thriving-now-dead-and-dying stores to be a "merchandising error". To be in on the ground floor of a new business....how exciting. WP is very new but growing like crazy! Wp is the only place that I know of that asks it store owners what needs to be improved, fixed, added, changed..and listens! In it's infancy...it is already getting noticed as a competeitor at othEr auction sites. If E wasn't so concerned why are they banning anyone from even mentioning WP ! LOL I love the people here. I can say I have made a few new friends. Everyone is very helpful. And at these fees....well, enough said. A brief update..my choices are down to 3 already. One site changed their format today. In the middle of the busiest part of the selling season. Really messed up their sellers. Not a place I want to be, I've had enough of that at the Big E. Cross that one off. A lot of great reasons have been listed and I agree with all of them. Here's one of my favorites: Wagglepop is dedicated to making this work, they acutally listen to us and often ask for our input and what we want to see incorporated! The WP team (and us) are building a fantastic community and online force that will one day be the best around. Ain't that great?! Hi, I would like to add my two cents here. 1) I had to contact customer support a few times (just with general questions) I had a response within 2 hours. AND it was the correct answer. 2) Other sellers from the get go (who didn't know me) when I post on the boards gave their honest AND polite answers or opinions. 3) I have had several sales from first time wagglepoppers who are not sellers. When I asked them how they found my items, they replied google. 4) Listing your items are very easy and quick. ( No time consuming pages to go through) 5) Very easy name to remember ( My opionion is it is a fun sounding upbeat name) 6) So far, there has not been any bad SURPRISES from Wagglepop. 7) Other sellers have dedicated there time and efforts in supporting Wagglepop not just for themselves but for others - see WPSSU in web promotion on the boards 8) I have listed on other "free sites" for awhile and I have been lucky to have 1 or 2 sales every few months. 9) Sales started very slow here but have been gradually picking up for me. 10) I just don't have the fear that I had at the other place of "what are they going to do next" Hope that helps you in making your decision. DITTO DITTO DITTO to all the above. This is my first venue at opening up a store. I was a buyer only at first over thEre, then started selling. I didn't have a store, but I sold auction style. I did very well. But the fees of relisting and final value and extra picture, etc didn't help me at all. Things I wanted to keep relisting because I knew they would sell and would maybe need 2 or 3 times became not so profitable and soon I was in the hole because of the fees.. The boards here are SUPER FRIENDLY to say the least! Everyone jumps in to help immediately. No question is dumb to any one of them either. And Karen - Customer Service is top notch too I might add. You would be most happy here, I'm sure of that! Happy Thanksgiving. Here is my top ten list in no particular order: 1) Excellent customer service. Karen goes above and beyond with handling questions/concerns in a prompt courteous manner. Whereas on the othEr site you can wait days for a response only to have your concern not addressed in the reply, on Wagglepop we have often had our concern addressed within an hour or two. I have NEVER seen this speed of response on ANY other venue. 2) A wonderful, supportive, motivated bunch of sellers to share this venue with. All of my interaction with other sellers has been positive and I am honored to be building this venue with them. 3) The ability to list as many items as you wish for NO additiional fees. 4) The ease of listing items which is very user friendly. 5) The wealth of information and help from this great bunch of members. So many go above and beyond to offer their help which I have never witnessed on any other venue. 6) The ability to set up a customized store and actually have your listings be visible inside and outside of Wagglepop with the automatic feeds to Google/Froogle/Google Base. 7) Having the ability to provide input for future enhancements, improvements and features on Wagglepop and actually having Wagglepop customer service listen and act on our requests. 8) The nice, clean, layout of the site which is user friendly and isn't "junky" looking. This what first attracted me to Wagglepop. My theory is, if I don't like the look of the site or find it buyer friendly when I look at it from the perspective of a buyer, why would I want to be a seller on a venue like that? 9) Being part of a great visionary alternative site at the ground level. It has great potential and with these great committed sellers......the sky is the limit! 10) Last but not least, I completely agree with Dawn! Wagglepop is STORE FRIENDLY! Ditto to what everyone else has said. Here are a few of the reasons I would recommend WP 1. It is easy to list items, revise items, sell similar items. 2. No charge for re-listing or for gallery pics for store owners. 3. Awesome community--you can't beat the support and help her from other sellers/buyers and from Karen and customer service 4. My items show up on Froogle. 5. I have learned how to use HTML, HMLT, or whatever.....how to put pics in posts, etc. 6. The fees are so easy to pay each month. That's all I can think of at the moment. Good luck with whatever venue you choose. Please just know that it does take work and time. But it is growing and things are POPPIN'. Hope to see you around. My reasons mirror all those above. I am not sure I can add too much more but I must say this: I have never had a store before, only did auctions on the other site. Did Okay, but the fees were killing me. I had planned to open a store over thEre in September, but we all know what happened then - everhting doubled! I could not afford that so starting looking around. Found Wagglepop and was delighted how easy it was to open a store, stock it at my own pace and pay no more for one item sitting there (hoping to be bought) than if I listed thousands. Same price every month - WOW! This I could afford. AND the other sellers here have been great about helping with any question I have had - the listing is really simple. My kids can't believe I actually have a store up and running and have customers visiting and buying. I am in HOG heaven - excuse me - I am in Wagglepop heaven. I have never once regretted my decision to come here. I have a long way to go to be a viable store, but with this site, I am certain I will be a success - as I am absolutely certain Wagglepop with be the Best venue for online buying in the future. Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but I love the positive flow here at WP. Have never seen anything like it. Do you know that WP is a trust based business? That's my 2 cents. Hope it helps you with your decision. I just LOVE Wagglepop! I had been selling on E for about 8 months, and loved the selling but not the fees, so started looking elsewhere before the fee hikes loomed too closely. I stumbled on Wagglepop kind of by accident, but after visiting and watching the 400 stores or so for the day, I joined in and never went back (except to gather the stuff off my "desk"). Why do I LOVE Wagglepop...? 1. The community boards are friendly, helpful, prayerful, and just plain fun! 2. WP Customer Service is EXCELLENT, they are more than just customer service... they have become very close to being our friends. We have so far only dealt with Karen who has often joined our fun communications as well as the helpful and technical issues that are posted. Karen now has help with Andrew and Christine, who I'm sure will be just as fun. 3. The fees are wonderful... so wonderful, in fact, that I have opened a second store and I am NOT worried about trying to pay $20.00 a month in order to keep them open. 4. Store set up is easy, enjoyable, and doesn't take long to get started on getting your inventory in there. 5. Listing Items is also easy, enjoyable and is very quick. Revising items takes only seconds (REALLY!) 6. I have learned new things here that I never thought I would get to do... Html, posting pictures, linking pictures, making my own logo, banner, template, etc & so much more! And all just by visiting with the helpful people on the community boards. 7. Being ASKED by WP about what I feel they could improve on to make selling/buying here easier. And not only being asked, but we see improvements based on the comments that the WP buyers & sellers give them. Now who else is going to do that?! 8. WP is upbeat, friendly, motivated, and growing everyday! And it is wonderful to watch it grow too, because I get to be a part of that growth. 9. Getting found on Google/Froogle. And the other places that I have advertised on the internet. I have gotten several sales from outside advertising, enough to pay for my WP fees each month that I have been here. And sales are picking up as WP's name gets spread across the internet and the real world. 10. And like Dawn said... WP is Store Friendly! I have always felt that my business was wanted here by both the WP staff and by the other wagglepoppers who are here with me. Hope to see you join our revolution and have some fun at WP too! I love Wagglepop because: For only $9.95 and no listing fees I can have my own store on the web and list as much as I ant with no additional cost on my inventory! No additional fees to list in the main search to actually be seen! Ability to customize my store in many ways and Wagglepop doesn't limit the number of custom pages we can have either! The editor has a lot of great features for us non-html users, and I love the category headers we can add too! Great community of sellers here....very helpful & friendly! Great customer service and very timely...Karen has always been much quicker to reply to my emails than I would ever expect! Wagglepop staff asks for our input and then does what they can to implement as many of our needs, wants, and ideas as much as possible! They really seem to care about us sellers. I like the smaller community atmosphere here...it's a lot more fun and will be exciting to grow with Wagglepop! .....etc, etc, etc!! =) These reasons are just off of the top of my head and in no particular order. Hope you decide to join us and open up a Wagglepop store soon!! I'd like to go ahead and welcome you ahead of time....Welcome to Wagglepop!! =) Thank you again for all your posts. I have all the information I need at this time. Now I will be spending the weekend charting and graphing all the complied information from the 3 sites. Monday I will be presenting the information to my accountant and business advisor. Our 2007 business plan will depend on our mutual decisions and on the compiled information. Unfortunatley it would be a breach of privacy to give you all the private information on a public forum. The best in Sales to you all. Reply to topic |

If you copy the link from another post on TT it will direct you to that page that says legal BS. FYI the way WP claims to be such a big company is BS. I have seen the WP PO box many times as I have a box in the same post office. WP is run out of Ray's house and that is it. I grew up less then a mile away from Ray's house and I know the street he lives on. I can say this without a doubt that the picture of the lady at the top of the Community page was taken in front of Ray's house. Trust me I know the area. What legal standing does Ray have against anyone anyway? The only person commiting a crime is Ray and FRAUD is only one of the crimes he has commited. Invasion of privacy is another not to mention quite a few more federal crimes. Last I checked it was not a crime to click on a link! Don't sweat it guys. The end of WP is near and the sellers that leave will be better off for it. The ones that can't see the truth right now will in reality be better off as well when the site is shut down. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Warning!
Actually not, but completely off-topic! Is anyone here in Texas and going to the Cotton Bowl Parade? My daughter and a friend of mine's son are in Dallas this week with their High School band. They will be marching in the Cotton Bowl Parade and performing in the Mass Band performance at half-time. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that we're going to get to see either here. :'( For those of you in the Dallas area, do you know if it's going to be aired on any of your local channels? And if so, which one? With satellite and internet, I'm hoping I may be able to get it somehow...instead of waiting for someone to bring a video or pictures back.
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
