It's not going to end. I'm not posting on that thread anymore. My posts have gotten twisted anyway, so I give up. I know our only battle was to try to open sellers eyes to make sure they were taking care of their back, and it got to mudslinging and name calling, because of the raw emotion that lies behind this stuff. And I'm feeling it, too, that's why I have to back away. I can't help but feel that potential buyers are reading and I don't want to lose customers because I got in an argument with someone. It's just not worth it to me, and I really have a gazillion things to do.
Princess you are right on the money. The PSU thread has reached stalemate. As far as buyers are concerned PSU is a seller forum. Not to say that sellers are not buyers, so I do understand your concern. It is also very easy for a post to be misinterpreted because unlike face to face communication you can't see the other person, or hear the tone of voice. Most communication relies on reading body language. Without it we lean towards making assumptions that often end up being inaccurate. |

Princess:
You're wise for your years. Have you noticed how the Poppers respond to our observations of WP? There was no response to my post about what coming to PSU was REALLY all about: Ray, his agenda, his tactics, his pocket, his ego and the way he runs his empire. And because they can't argue facts, they throw mud at the messengers. It's funny how most of us X-Poppers who post here actually did not do badly at WP. When I left, I had a higher feedback score than probably 90% or more of the Poppers at that time. YOHB did quite well. You had sales. We were motivated, and had we put the same amount of effort someplace else (into our own web site, for example, instead of wasting on Ray's personal cause), we probably would have done better still. It was bad ethics, holier-than-thou attitude, secrecy, lies, total hypocricy, theocratic tone, and overall cultish environment of his little dictatorship (e.g. censorship, unequal enforcement of rules, etc.) that did it for me, and from what I gather, for most of the rest of us X-Poppers. It'll be interesting to see what happens when, and if, WP tries to go overseas. I don't think Europeans (I know, cause I'm married to one) will put with his carp for one nanosecond. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hi guys,
Miranda Keep your head up as you have no reason to explain anything to anyone over at PSU, no names mentioned. What you have been able to get done so far after leaving WP amazes me and I am sure many others. By not stooping to there level only proves the points we have been trying to make. From what I have seen you have never dragged any seller on WP through the mud as the WP posters have done on the PSU threads. They are only spamming the PSU threads to benifit one person in the end and that is Ray. Many of us have been drug through the mud on PSU including me and so be it. I stand by statements I have made and all have been directed at the site itself or as comic relief not intending to harm anyone. The WP posters intensions are clear and that is to place blame for the sites failures elsewhere. WP is only 1 venue out of hundreds worldwide and it will never amount to much more then it is now. There will not be an exodus from ebay as there was with the last fee increase so it will be fun to watch WP explain why the site numbers are only going in one direction and that is down. It is more interesting to see what issues they try to dispute. I have noticed not a single poster handled the fudged listing counts that we have all talked about or the closed stores whom have active listings still showing up. Any of the things they have talked about are a situation of is the glass half empty or half full. The censorship doesn't seem to bother them as it would do most anyone else. I would also advise everyone to read the earlier PSU threads about WP I had a blast reading them. Brian1212 is saturn without a doubt. Now why haven't I been as active at TT as before well here is the reason. I have been busy with other venues as well as my father is passing away slowly. I just left the hospital where he is and came back to the office. Some people will ask why I continue to post on TT because of those things and say what you want I don't care ( I am very thick skinned). I continue to read and post here on TT as a release from daily life issues. This thread is great, the posters on this thread are great and it brightens my day to read this thread. Banana man! He is awesome. I have been watching his auctions for a long time and I hope everyone got a good laugh out of the banana phone chiquita. When will I be back to TT to post the wagglefact of the day? Soon as some life issues clear up for me. I have been expecting this with my father for some time now and it is just his time now. I was working on some new info about WP when this came about but I haven't completed my research as of yet. So to end this post I will be back from time to time and in full force soon. Don't second guess yourselves with statements or posts you have made. Most TT posters speak there mind and that is what people need to hear. I'll be back here soon!!! Truth:
Sorry to hear about your dad. When you're a kid you always think your parents will live forever. I'm getting to the age where I'm going to be dealing with those issues soon, myself. In very short order, WP is going to be a very boring place. Ray has distilled the membership into a small group of mindless borgs who would follow him to Mars and back if he asked them to. They are not bothered by any of the issues that bothered us and would bother most serious business people who sell on-line for a living. Unfortunately for him, the rest of the world is not composed of goose-steppers, who hate ebay and are walking around looking for a clique to hang on to. My prediction is that if WP doesn't get sued by some happy attorney looking to make a name for himself, it will die a natural death by attrition. Love that BananaMan. What are active embed statements? Is that what his money-making scheme with no auctions is all about, or is that something else? If you'd rather PM me on that one, feel free. |

I, too, would like to know what active embeded statements are. Me so confused (I know, it's easy to confuse me)

I, too, would like to know what active embeded statements are. Me so confused (I know, it's easy to confuse me)
Here is an example of an active embed statement for eBay to have music in your auction that plays when the listing opens. |
