I can't explain the answer to that nor would I attempt to. I can tell you that I was at one time against Brian & that time has come and passed. I am not sure where you are from but I live in a free market society. The online auction industry is not about censorship or putting seller vs. seller as has happened with WP. I am free to choose who and how I do business with any venue. WP has censored most sellers who have left & many more who are leaving in the near future.

I don't care what was said in the WPSSU forums in the past & what happened between Brian and myself is just that the past. What in the world could be wrong with opening a forum so everyone can read it or participate? If you ask me the people who are against Brian now enjoy the isolation of WP. From what I have seen there is a group of people at WPSSU who wish to discuss business strategy about more then just one online auction venue. If there is something wrong with that please point that out to me because I don't see how it could be wrong. From a business standpoint what Brian (and his staff) has done with the WPSSU site it was the correct business decision. If any TT posters wish to join in that forum that is there decision to make. From what I can see the ones that have are welcomed with open arms. You don't see TT posters going to the WPSSU forums to rip WP. Why would you anyway? The issue is with WP itself and not the sellers.

All the in fighting is the result of one person and that person is RAY!!!


UniqueSeller I am not trying to bash you but this thread isn't about what happened between Brian & Ray. It is about what we see and that is the scam that Ray is pulling with his WP. I truly hope you will participate in this thread with a clearer understanding of what this thread is about.

One last thing UniqueSeller. What happened between Brian and I in the past is over and I can tell you there is nothing that anyone can say that will change that. Our relationship now is more likely stronger because of the past. I don't ask Brian for an apology and Brian doesn't ask me. We understand each other and are moving forward with that. Posting on TT to bash anyone other then the WP site owner only proves intentions to harm & not help the people who need it most, the WP sellers.

This ongoing discussion is one tiny part of the entire site. TulipTools is a general e-business and OAI discussion and articles board. This thread does not represent the rest of the board, nor do many of the posters within this thread actively post on the rest of the site. Some do, most don't.

You got one thing right.  The infighting is the result of one person.  However, you don't see yet that it is Brian vs. Brian.

Advice taken thanks for your opinion! One more thing though. Was that the reason you started posting in this thread? Is it because you don't like Brian that you now post here? Maybe you don't understand me I don't like Ray! I have no problem with any other seller! This thread isn't about Brian!!! This thread is about Ray the SCAM ARTIST!! Do you really believe most people have left WP because of Brian? Believe me given the chance to speak to Ray there would be far worse things said to Ray then what I have posted in this forum. This is not Madison Square Garden featuring Brian vs Ray -- the Fight of the Century.   If you guys need to duke it out here, by all means go ahead -- nobody's stopping you -- but please keep in mind, this is not your personal boxing ring.

This forum is intended to bring information to all who are members and lukers here. If there's something you think would be useful to us in making informed decisions regarding business matters, we'd like to hear it. So far all I've seen are vague references to some difference of opinion regarding advertising that resulted in a big bruhaha with threads censored.

Since most of us do not follow the forums on WPSSU and are banned from participating in the boards on WP, we are in the dark as to what ACTUALLY came down. Did Brian feel slighted because Ray wanted too big of a financial pie piece and Brian was doing all the work in pumping WP? Did Ray feel Brian was undermining his control over the WP cult? Wasn't it Brian who said at one time that he would be willing to put $10K of his own money into advertising WP? Since all the interraction I've had with Brian resulted in us locking horns over his Koolaid-laced diatribes, I don't know what to think. All I can possibly think is that something BIG must have happened to turn the "red and blue" Popper into a "black and blue" bruised Popper, and we'd all like to know what it is.

I, for one, am not jumping on anybody's bandwagon. Most of us X-Poppers jumped on Ray's wagon because eBay basically kicked us off their's and we felt betrayed, confused, dazed and frankly, pissed. I'm not making that mistake twice. Just because I think Ray's the biggest cultist, egocentric, greedy control freak on the planet doesn't mean I'm looking for salvation from his nemesis. So far, I've heard nothing that would convince me to step into what could be another pile of wombat poo poo. I have more respect for my business than that.

While it's true that all this in-fighting can be traced to Ray, it takes two to tango. What I found more amazing is why (1) Ray hasn't kicked Brian out of his sandbox, like he did with most of us, for our concerns with staff and how it handled issues (which were much more innocent than this Brian-Ray conflict seems to have been), and (2) why Brian is still part of WP if indeed he and Ray had a "falling out." There's what appears to be a disturbing passive/agressive enabling situation going on here that makes me very suspicious of both of them.
