Scoop, Quote:Truth excuse me you didn't actually announce the auction site Brian did that on wpssu. That's how I knew you were talking about the auction site. But clearly here in this post you did talk about Brian and wpssu and the upcoming announcement about wpssu that you would not reveal just yet. Also you have written other post on here pretaining to Brian but I don't have time to go looking for all of them. By the way thanks for clearing up a few things there. The other thing is I didn't realize the alexa graphs update when they are posted here. Thanks for clearing that up as well about the graphs! Yes I alluded to it but I never not once announced it on TT. As I said that was for Brian to announce. By the way I think your reason to post on TT originally was to talk about Brian correct? Or were you here before under a different name? let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." X-POP NATION, A real seller's network
Truth I have never posted here under a different name. My first post I ever did here was only to inform the posters here about what happened with Brian and WP. After that I did not post again until tonight when I saw you and others telling User391 that this thread was not about Brian. I agree this thread is not about Brian so why has no one questioned or reminded you that this thread is not about Brian? That was my question so far no one has answered it. Yes you only alluded to the auction site but the fact remains that you kept bringing the subject of Brian into this thread and then you tell someone else to keep him out. That's how I'm seeing it. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Scoop,
Quote:I didn't think I'd find myself back here posting but here I am again. My main purpose for being here is I have a question. I'm reading this thread and I'm having a hard time understanding something. After my first post when I told of what happened with Brian on WP Truth came on and posted how he knew Brian had harassed others in the same way. Since that post Truth has posted a number of times on the subject of Brian only in a more positive light. Then he wrote that big long post on Brian's new project the new auction site. I'm sorry but do you expect me to respond to something that you said that is not true. I think we both agreed that this wasn't 100% accurate in the quote above. If you feel we shouldn't be discussing the person mentioned in the above thread no problem I agree. Yes maybe I have praised that person here on TT and that's because of what that person and I have gone through that we now find to be ridiculous. Scoop, I am not trying to change your view of that person. That is for you and that person to do if you so choose. It doesn't involve me at all. My problem is with Ray and one member posting here tonight. She knows who she is no names memtioned. So you have problems or maybe not with WP and you think WP will loose more sellers. You are leaving WP? As I said in the past to all WP sellers and ex-sellers I wish you many sales now and in the future. I hold no grudges with you scoop. On the other hand that one poster who I mentioned before likes to post and bash members from TT (including me) on another forum PSU. She followed DRM in the bashing of TT members for posting how we feel. I took the blame from her when I took DRM down on PSU that another TT poster put on her (don't believe me read the PSU thread). She denied being a karma gremlin so be it whatever and she must live with her statements if proven to be wrong. let's get this topic back to where it was about Ray and his site WP. I will admit I have bashed the person in the quote above and that is why I have talked about him as of recently. Maybe it's my way of apologizing to him as we have come to terms. If I have offended you or anybody by doing that my intensions were not to hurt but maybe to heel myself. You have the right to come to those terms or not but I have the right to deal with it in my own way. If you don't like it don't read it. Remember this is a free and open forum. Scoop I would like to know what has brought you to leave WP if that is what you are doing so if you would please feel free to vent. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." Thanks, Chiquita. This will be only my second daycare sale. Nurseries are really my thing, but sometimes that spills over into playrooms or daycares as the case may be. I'll sell anything in my house that isn't nailed down though.
bolding mine. Hehe. Anytime my hubby is looking for an article of clothing or something of equal relevance to my niche, he says "Did you sell it?" |

Quote: What made WP a community, a group, and a place for support were all the sellers, not Ray or the venue. Chiquita I agree with this statment what made WP a community was the sellers. I don't regret my choice to sell on WP at all if I never went there I would not have made some of the friends I have today or learned some of the things I have with their help. To me that alone was worth every penny I spent there. WP had some very good sellers some very good people. I'm still really in shock about some of the things that WP has done or didn't do when they had the perfect opportunity to have the site continue to grow. I also want to let all the sellers know I respect their choice whether that be to stay or to close. I actually still hope WP makes it for their sake not for Ray's or WP's but for them. But in my opinion barring some miricle I don't see WP recovering. |
Well said scoop, and even though sometimes this thread gets crazy OT, and has become verrry long, your sentiments are shared by many of us. I hope that the remaining sellers have a backup plan, and are already moving some of their items to other venues, even if that includes Ebay just in case. The sellers are already doing all the work promoting themselves, and I know it sucks to feel like you have to move once again but you have to know your business matters enough to make those hard decisions. If it weren't for Ray's ummm behavior I wouldn't have so many nice folks who came here to TT. Now whether or not they are worth 9.99 is another story. |

Yes maybe I have praised that person here on TT and that's because of what that person and I have gone through that we now find to be ridiculous. Truth I don't know if you are just trying to dance around this or if you just don't understand. While in the statement I made I corrected myself and said you did not mention the auction site. That was the only part that was not accurate. The fact is you did mention Brian in post that you've written ever since you two are buddies again. You did mention about some big announcement on wpssu. So it was ok for you to take this thread OT but not ok for someone else as you told User391 it did not belong in this thread. I'm willing to bet User391 started posting about it because they saw your post where you were talking about Brian. I really don't care whether people talk about him in this thread or not. I just was wondering how you could tell someone else it didn't belong here when you are posting about it yourself. That's all. To answer your question do I have anything to vent about WP. No I don't have any WP horror stories to tell. I just think that they made some wrong choices as to what they should or shouldn't do. Why they made these choices I don't know. Like I said in my other post I don't regret choosing to have a store there. I made a lot of new friends some of whom have left and some who are still there. When I do go it's with no regrets and no hard feeling towards anyone else for what ever choice they make. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
KARMA GREMS!
I'm soooo disappointed. Only 2 deleted points, and you promised me at least 3 while I was sleeping. What happened? Were my dream posts too boring? Well, Scoop, I can't share in your sentiments for WP. I DO REGRET ever having gone there. I wasted my time and energy for those few months. My business is still recovering from it, which is one reason why I haven't quite been able to branch to other sites or start my own, as I'm still playing catch up. For me, and many other X-Poppers here the issue goes WAY, WAY, WAY beyond sales. And it goes beyond advertising. But since we're on that subject: I brought up the issue of advertising back in July or early August, and was simply told to read the 3-year plan, which I already had done. Karen popped in to say it will happen in due time -- placate, placate. That's a lie. I gave up the issue. But the issue didn't die. A couple months later, another Popper started a thread asking if WP is going to advertise. After a long series of replies, none of which contained an answer to that question, I eventually popped in with, "since nobody's bothering to answer your question, I will." The answer is NO. Go to the "plan" and read between the lines. WP has no intention of advertising, not then, not now, and possibly not ever. WHY? Because it truly doesn't believe that its job -- period. That's what all that wombat poo poo is about "it's Your ship, and we're just here to steer it," rhetoric is about. Translation: "we provide the web site, you do all the work, and we get all the spoils." And at the time, there were many cheerleaders who, whether they knew it or not, were agreeing. I got beat over the head with pompoms and statements such as, "WP doesn't owe us anything." "Consider your monthly fee as store rental space." So when I asked what WP was actually DOING with my monthly fee that at least a dozen other sites were offering sellers FOR FREE, my post was deleted, and I was banned for life. Regardless of what I think about Brian, one thing he says is true. Any hint of a comment, action, suggestion, forum thread, attitude or board reply that would possibly prompt another seller into thinking for himself and maybe leaving the site is a DIRECT THREAT to Ray. And for good reason. It undermines Ray's empirical, tyrannical, authoritarian control over his flock and endangers his monthly fuzzy slipper fund. If what Ray has is TRULY unique, special and highly desireable for sellers, Ray would have nothing to fear. Fact is, he knows he's selling snake oil. Wanna sell snake oil? Fine. Just say that's what it is. Don't pretend it's some magical allexir - a gift handed down to Ray, the chosen one, from ancient Atlantian mystic chronicles -- it's all a lie -- just one big DECEPTION. When the site crashes, and it will, like any paranoid psycho, Ray will blame everybody and everything for it: trolls, infiltrators, fake buyers, nasty sellers and their "lack of faith", crappy inventory, inept marketing skills, inability to take full advantage of all WP has to offer" or whatever wombat poo poo he can come up with; Brian, global warming, war in Bosnia, sunamis, earthquakes, meteor strikes, etc. But the only one to blame is himself. |
