Hello Members,

On behalf of the entire Wagglepop staff and vendor support body, I am very proud and happy (thrilled actually LOL) to announce that the official "Grand Opening" of Wagglepop will be in just 20 days on March 1st, 2007!

To date, Wagglepop has represented itself under a conventional "soft launch" mode, without any of the advertising, promotion, and/or media events that mark the official launch of all companies, online or offline.

Many of our members have understood the necessity for and the dynamic surrounding the past 10 months and the soft launch. It is a critically important part of building a business that can both stand prosper and stand the test of time before introduction to the world, and we are now poised and ready for that challenge.

None of the past few months or the official launch moving forward would be possible without our incredibly dedicated existing membership, including a seller body that has populated the site with a huge variety of interesting items and products.

For that support, you have the thanks of all of us. What happens moving forward is possible only because of that, and you should all be as proud of yourselves as we are of you.

Launch notes, and the general schedule of events leading up to the official grand opening are:

Today 2/10 through Monday 2/18

Work on creation of advertising and marketing campaigns continues, and implementation of much of the "background" support also continues or is fully implemented, such as search engine optimization and program creation.

Monday 2/19 through Wednesday 2/28

Implementation of a variety of advertising and marketing elements begins, and increases in traffic will begin steadily and consistently.

At present, we are scheduled or contracted for 21 different forms of advertising or media (!), covering thousands of different distribution points and sources.

Thursday 3/1 - Wagglepop Grand Opening!

Particular elements of the overall plan will be implemented on Thursday, 3/1/07, which will mark the official launch and grand opening of Wagglepop, and mark our introduction to the world outside of the existing base on a considerable scale.

Notes

The "Grand Opening" will continue through September 1st, 2007 marking a dedicated six month advertising and marketing campaign and budget for that period.

Throughout the period, scheduled integrations and features will continue, as well as some new programs and partnerships that will help build Wagglepop in the ways we believe can best support our purpose and mission, both as a community and company.

This grand opening announcement represents what we have all been waiting for, both staff and membership alike.

May the wind be at our backs and the sun on our faces as we set sail for this greatest of adventures together

Everyone receiving this invitation is one of the thousands of people who showed interest in and support for our desire to provide a real and lasting online auction alternative.

As many of you know, we made just about every mistake possible during our first launch, and the original Wagglepoop was closed just a week after its initial debut.

On a personal note, I cannot express enough how deeply saddened I was at that time by our inability to provide what so many of you had supported, and what we had promised. Not a single day has gone by since that I have not worked to honor your faith in the idea of Wagglepop, and to bring a new version to market that is everything you expect and deserve.

This invitation and the new version of Wagglepoop are the fulfillment of that promise from a little over one year ago.

Too little, too late, again. Alot of the great sellers have already left, and inventory is way down. Anyone else notice how the new home page does NOT include an inventory count?

I think this is like a light bulb (or globe LOL). A bright flash right before it goes out forever.....
