Anyone care to take a stab at translating this? From the WP "post your pic" thread, on being asked for a staff photo, and then a popper's suggestion that the woman on the front page was "Karen" - Quote:Hello Members, WTF? Since they are planning a media event in the very nebulous future, they can't just post a pic now? Uh huh. Still didn't finish drawing those stick figures, I guess. JoJo [/quote] This, IS THAT KAREN on the Home Page question came up before, sometime in late July, early August. There was a big to-do about whether the photo was Karen, and that Karen must be young and beautiful, etc. Some Popper posted wanting to see a pic of Karen, and Karen popped in saying it was not her and no picture would be posted. That was the end of that. I guess Karen doesn't want a picture taken of her five-o'clock shadow. |

Quote:there are going to be times when factors outside our control appear to be directly WP-related, but are actual network connectivity issues such as bottlenecks or power outages. Dear boinktard Karen, the following message isn't due to a network connectivity issue, or a power outage, or the weather in the Northeast, or an ISP "bottleneck" -it is due to a problem on your server: Quote:Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /www/waggle/public_html/community/db/mysql4.php on line 48 The slowness today was entirely due to a problem on Wagglepop's end. Quote:About once an hour it slows down to a crawl for about 5 minutes, then picks up again. weird to say the least. Not weird if they're doing hourly backups and the web server and database server are on the same (low end) server. I doubt that WP is using a separate server for MySQL. |

I'm on DSL too and Ray can try to cover it up however he wants to, but every other site I visited at the same time (eBay included!) loaded just fine. Like Regic said, the error message you got today says it all. Has anybody seen Fine today? Maybe she's blocking the damn door again!

Quote:We monitor the site exhaustively and thoroughly throughout each day, and there are going to be times when factors outside our control appear to be directly WP-related, but are actual network connectivity issues such as bottlenecks or power outages. Bolding mine. What in the world is Ray talking about here? I have the same power company as Ray, we have the same weather. Last I looked there wasn't a power outage from our electric company in any area in weeks. Maybe Ray hasn't paid his bill. By the way the ISP in this area haven't reported any wide spread outages either. Does Ray expect us to believe the servers for WP are in his basement. Try again Ray. Quote:Does Ray expect us to believe the servers for WP are in his basement. Try again Ray. They're hosted at Ezzi.net -the same host RScript uses. The backbone peering partners ("upstream providers") for that data center are: * 174 COGENT * 3257 TISCALI-BACKBONE * 3320 DTAG * 3561 SAVVIS * 6939 HURRICANE * 8002 STEALTH-AS http://www.lerfjhax.com/as/15149 Rain in the Northeast wouldn't cause a slowdown on all 6 networks and it wouldn't have any effect on the data center unless the data center was flooded (i.e. submerged like the data centers in New Orleans in 2005). |

The weather at Ray's house does not obey the laws of physics. Remember, this is a divine leader. He creates adversiting blitzes out of stale air and spins pathetic Alexa reports into a thunderous roar of world-wide traffic. I think it has something to do with the micrometerological effects created by the spewing of a thousand smoke machines deflecting their precipitates off an equal number of highly-polished mirrors strategically placed in his office and around his property lines. The products ascend into the atmophere over Ray's house, creating a temperature inversion which keeps the pollutants from Ray's demented thoughts from dissipating into the atmosphere. This can certainly create havoc with the wire that connects the tin cans on his relay system. In other words, Ray's excuse for everything is that it's something or someone other than himself that is always responsible for any and all of his own shortcomings. Divine leaders never apologize. |

WEATHER REPORT FROM POOPLAND
Current Temp 34 º F mixed rain and snow until Friday morning with an overnight low of 27º F Chance of a flood or power outage in poopland 3-2 Can you imagine if Ray lost power in his house? His delete key would be down for hours or days. I wonder is Ray has a UPS system or backup generator like I do. We could really have some fun when the lights go out in poopland, I'll keep everyone posted. Dear boinktard Ka/Ray let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Since they like to quote Alexa so much:
Site Stats for wagglepop.com: * Traffic Rank for wagglepop.com: 54,932 (down15,428) * Speed: Slow (66% of sites are faster), Avg Load Time: 3.0 Seconds What's This? * Other sites that link to this site: 17 * Online Since: 21-Nov-2004 Notice the speed in particular. Karen's explanations don't make sense in light of that. So Ray... want to change your story now?
