River Rat, I would love to open my own website. I just don't have the know how to build it and all the technicals of doing so. Otherwise I would jump into it quick fast and in a hurry...LOL. I also have no idea what it would cost to build it. Keith [/quote] First thing I would do...buy a domain name. You can always direct it towards your eBay store for the time being. I found a good one that is available - I'll pm it to you. Chiquita's idea is a good one too. Only thing I don't like...you don't own the domain name. It's technically registered to Microsoft and if you decide to move to a better website I don't think you can take it with you. (I could be wrong on this, but I *think* that's the way it works.)
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

River rat,
That sounds great, I would much rather have a store with my own name. I can still use the one chiquita gave me as she said for advertising with banners. My advertising so far has been craigslist and google base. Craigslist has been really slow from what people have been telling me. They no longer let you put your URL there. Ebay must own them too...LOL. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sherry,
It don't surprise me at all. They have monopolized and I am wondering if it will ever help to go anywhere else. But they have stirred up so many feathers that a revolt should begin to grow somewhere. Hopefully one of these sites will grow big enough to crack the whip on Ebay. Did you guys see the today show the other morning talking about all the fraud on Ebay? They were saying it's a 250 billion dollar a year industry just in fraud? Some of the product owners like luois vitton is suing Ebay. Ebay claim they are trying very hard to stop it. Shoot the only thing I've seen they are stopping is us small sellers. With bogus suspensions! |

Welcome back cash..you've been missed.
keith! Tulip Tools is an awesome educational web-building site for dummies. There are sooooooo many helpful people here. I know of several people who have used this venue to get help with building their own site, just check out the other threads. Until then, ecrater is a really good place to "practice" having your own site. As soon as you decide, do put your site in your signature so that we can all check it out!
I hate stupid people!

I just added my two main stores Feebay and Ebid. I don't have alot of stock on Ebid yet. I had been spending all my time working on WP like a blooming idiot! I've always been told the only way to learn is you got to go through the BS to get there...LOL
