Even uBid has commercials on in my area. They are more of a household name than WP.
I am so glad that PS is having such success. I also hope she remembers that pride goeth before a fall.

A comparison of Ubid and WP Ubid: 4+ million members (plus they can now spam Bidville's 900,000 members), $20+ million quarterly revenue, publicly traded stock with market cap of $22 million, $14 million in cash, offices, employees WP: 11,000 members, estimated quarterly revenue well under $20,000 (maybe under $15K), no stock or offices, virtual employee named Karen |

First we read that sales were gonna be great for Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then Valentines, then Easter, then the marketing campaing, now were up to summer.
:blinkie: It's all good though because any day those sales are gonna come, yes indeed. WP will be a household name. Sounds like one of those "fractured fairy tales" to me, and there is no happily ever after. Just look at Bidville, and get back to me. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Today's store activity has been worth a chuckle. Not those that left, but those that replaced them.
The Sparkle Shoppe - 19 items, closed; registered last month. All Just 4 Fun - 37 items, empty but not closed - yet. New: Cats Decor and More - 1 item; could be legit. Lifes- little- neccessities - 9 items; registered since November 15th but just showed up today for the first time. No pictures, no logo, no me page, 30 day listings bulk loaded with minimum typed description. IMHO a ghost store. mdenterprises501_net - 17 items; remember me mentioning this one yesterday as 'up and coming'? 30 day listings bulk loaded, with Andale counters and Auctiva. IMHO a joke, a phoney. BatJeep's Bat Cave - 31 items; BACK AGAIN!! July 28th registry, 0 feedback but still trying? It was turned on last night. I find this one hard to swallow. D-Day is fast approaching for account reconciliation. KaRay cannot afford to let the number of stores showing active slip any further. What has been really interesting watching it today is that a ghost or new store will show up just before a closure. Cute pattern. At this rate there will be more ghost stores than legit. Is KaRay paying himself? Would this constitute a tax reduction? Currently there are 11 1/2 pages of stores. The last 5 1/2 are under 100 items which is almost 50% of those existing. This concludes today's update.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
If I remember correctly, BatJeep's owner used to be on the boards once in awhile. Haven't seen them around lately though. Makes you wonder if these people know their store is still 'live'?
OT - after BBH's reply earlier about Zen, I dl'ed it and installed it locally. While I wasn't able to exactly reproduce my site's current template, I got it close enough that no one but me would notice the differences. I'm so psyched! I really love some of the features about it that OSC doesn't have like being able to insert meta tags manually and being able to control more through the admin vs. editing code. Loving it so far! THANK YOU TTers!! If it wasn't for you guys, I would have kept muddling along with OsCMax and probably never tried Zen Edited because I evidently forgot the difference between there and their, hehehe

Hi everyone. Yep, I've finally made it over here as a member. I'm glad to see so many X-POPPERS doing well for themselves. I also see a lot of familiar faces here too so I felt that it was time for me to be here too. I hope that's ok. [/quote] Bric!!!!!!! Nice to see you!!!!! |

Hi ya, Bill, nice to see you here too!!
I'm not sure about this Batjeep Bat Cave store but I do know that I did up a few logos for a new WP store a couple of weeks ago and his name is Darth Vader's Bat Cave. I'm pretty sure they are not the same store, but the Darth one is a real WP Store. The store names are pretty similar indeed. |
