This behavior is rampant on eBay and Overstock forums, and I see it much too frequently at various venues. Defined, professional assistance is necessary. Assisting a customer requires only to: answer questions, ask if you can be of further assistance and thank them for their business. The way it's done in the real world.

Nikki posted the full quote  back a few pages. It is from PSU. It isn't just WP's forums, there have been some other sites with similar problems.

Did someone say HiBidder?  Are we talking about the locked threads at PSU with HiBidder's mod angelsolutions acting like a real witch to a HiBidder customer?

Overstock made the same mistake when they appointed sellers to be mods.
