Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Patti I am glad you are going to try and make it down here for our first ever X-Poppers Live gathering.
I want 1 2, Your site is looking great and I just registered there. On a side note, my Zen site is starting to surpass my eBay store in sales. I am just short of gold powerseller status on eBay in that particular store. Over the past week my Zen site did more then double the sales and page views then I did on eBay and those stats are still climbing. I noticed today that my page views surpased what I normally do in a entire day on eBay by 9AM EST on my Zen site. For those of you who have openned a zen cart site recently, give it a month or 2 and you will be pleasently surprised. The best part is I am only about halfway done with loading product. RiverRat, Thanks again for all your help as well as regic and evryone else. We couldn't have done it without your help!!! DB and anyone else considering a website, It doesn't matter how much you know about computers, seek the help and start your own site. Ecrater is a good place to practice but the comparison between eCrater and your own site that has been tossed around in many different threads is poor at best. I am not knocking eCrater, I sell there and will continue to sell there. The formula to success online is within this thread, the problem is this thread is way to long and that formula is mixed in amoung all the pages. In short, use eBay as a marketting channel, sell your media items on Amazon or biblio, etsy for handmade items, eCrater for added exposure, START YOUR OWN WEBSITE & drive traffic to yourself via all avenue's. I can't stress this enough!! The alternative to eBay will never be another auction site. The alternative will and always has been yourself. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." |

WP Store Count = 274
I think it was asked a short time ago how many sellers do you think are still active at WP. I will stick with my number of 100 real sellers give or take 10. The saddest part about that is those sellers are on a oneway road to failure if they continue to believe that WP will amount to something. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." |

With all due respect, Truth, you were more cyber-literate when you joined WP, than I will ever be. It doesn't surprise me that you're doing so well -- I would have been much more surprised otherwise. Plus, you're a cyber-marketing genius with the embedded coding and all. I'm so retarded I couldn't even figure how to make my own siggy without BBH (or whoever it was) holding my hand and actually creating it for me. That's how pathetic I am.
Like I said, I'm not complaining, just stated reality. And since I get so angry and frustrated when I can't figure something out, I know I'd end up bald from all the hair I'd be pulling out while trying to struggle through. And still I'd have no guarantees I'd actually survive it. I know there's lots of help here and many willing to hold my hand, but I'm sure all have much better things to do than spend 24/7 with a frustrated old lady. But if anyone feels up to the task of standing over my shoulder and walking me through it, please feel free. I live just north of Atlanta and I'm offering free room and board. |

Pet Guy
I am glad you showed up in this thread. Do yourself a favor, stop listing on WP for a week and take the time to read this thread from start to finish. I don't understand why someone would want to list some 5,000 items on a site when the buyers left months ago. I need some frontline for my 2 golden's. I am sure you would be able to supply them but never in a million years would I consider making a purchase through WP even though I could very easily. Why are you wasting your time with WP when you could be starting your own independent website for far less money? I will await your answer. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." |

I find Zen easier then eBay or eCrater to load product onto at this point. There is no need for anyone to stand over your shoulder to do this but if you need the help I will give you my cell phone # so you can get me both at the office and or at home 18+ hours a day (Sorry I do need some sleep every now and then). You can do this DB. DB DB DB DB Don't make me continue this chant DB DB I am not asking you to do this today but you can do this DB. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." |

[/quote] This last one to disappear was a new seller who signed up in January. The Gilded Window - 31 items, empty but not closed Rat, sorry I didn't respond to you when you asked for opinions on how many actual stores there are. I'm on the same page as Truth, about 100 that actively work their stores. And of these a dozen have multiple stores. Some of these multiples are being stocked but many of them appear abandoned.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.
