Would you be so kind as to post the procedure to do this either way as there will be a great demand now and in a few days. I don't need to do this for myself but I know of a few who would love to blow that place in a matter of minutes.

Regarding the feedback... I get the basic gist of feedback on eBay as far as postive/negative goes but this is too much. I don't get to rate my service when I go to the grocery store or to Kmart or to Macys, etc. and I can tell you my dears... none of them would pass with flying colors.

As far as Buyers go... I love my buyers. I am always willing to work with a buyer to fix a problem or help them to combine an order to save shipping, etc. The problem is that buyers are so used to bad service that they don't really bother to ask anymore! I think a good seller could easily "look" bad because of a buyers ability to "rate" them.

PERFECT EXAMPLE: Bill just had two crazy buyers that wouldn't work with him and one negged him after he accepted a return... BUT they returned something other than what he shipped... THEN had the nerve to say that he was being difficult when he asked them to return the correct item!! What would that Buyer have to say on such a survey?? That was his first neg and he didn't even do anything wrong!!

Buyers already hold the power over the sellers on eBay... why give them more? This will ruin it for quite a few good sellers out there... eBay is practically MAKING sellers open their own websites!!!

Totally agree. In an article recently, FrenchyBee said buyers on eBay are high maintenance. So true. It will be those high maintenance buyers taking advantage of that system. The ratings are doomed to be lopsided - even with good feedback percentages, its possible those 'scales' will look very bad because only the customers that are annoyed, high maintenance, etc. will bother to answer the questions.

eBay has always been good to me sales-wise but I'm more determined than ever to cut the ties or at least drastically reduce my business there.

Truth, to export the listings they will need to go into each individual auction and copy the title, description, image location, and price from the auction into the appropriate fields in EZ Populate. They will also need to add in categories. Download the basic version from Zen downloads and you'll see what I mean.

Unfortunately without a bulk list exporter, there is no way to do it in a matter of minutes. It's going to have to be auction by auction.

Now - if they have those same listings in TL, they CAN export those to an Excel file which would make it much easier. They would basically just need to change the TL headers to match EZ populate and get rid of any extras. The categories would still need to be populated.

An SSL certificate verifies the website owner and allows the data passed (read: credit card information) to be sent securely and encrypted. Without an SSL cert, the data is not secure. Can you buy? Yes. Is it safe? Not necessarily. You're taking the risk that some teenager is bored in his room and is intercepting your information.

Thanks eclectica, understood but I have one more question and maybe this we help a few who are waiting to blow the popstand. Again this is not for myself we all know I am not at WP, or at least Ray thinks I am not at WP. Happy001

If someone were to list at WP thousands of dropship items, and that dropship source had all the info available in file format, they could bulk upload through easy populate as long as the fields matched or were changed to match. Turbolister would also work as long as you have the listings saved there, correct?

Maybe some techie can answer this one:

I've never used TurboLister. I create my listings through Auctiva and send them to eBay. I took a look at TL because I thought it might be a way of uploading listings into a web site (when I create one) or maybe Ecrater or MSN feeds. I also thought it might make it easier for me to change a field on all my listings simultaneously, like the shipping rates.
a) Is this possible?
b) Would I have to do double the work by creating my listings in Auctiva AND TL to have them in TL? Or would it be possible to create the listing in Auctiva and simply update TL from time to time so that it deletes the items no longer listed and adds the ones that have since been listed?
c) What real advantage would it be to install TL and have my listings there when each is unique and individual?

I know, I'm retarded. Funny how I can converse about the String Theory of physics, but am so clueless when comes to cyber-workings.
