Maybe some techie can answer this one:
I'll take a stab at it, lol. Quote:I've never used TurboLister. I create my listings through Auctiva and send them to eBay. I took a look at TL because I thought it might be a way of uploading listings into a web site (when I create one) or maybe Ecrater or MSN feeds. I also thought it might make it easier for me to change a field on all my listings simultaneously, like the shipping rates. You could still create your listings in Auctiva and then use TL to download your current listings from eBay. Quote:c) What real advantage would it be to install TL and have my listings there when each is unique and individual? The primary advantage is you will always have a backup. If Auctiva suddenly disappears or eBay messes up your listing (TKO, etc), you will have a local copy. Second, should you decide to open a site it will make importing easier if the site is capable of importing products from an Excel spreadsheet. (Contributions like the aforementioned EZ Populate are designed to do just that).
March 13th? $19!! That's it? $19!! Well if the owner won't put up $19 to secure the safety of his sellers/buyers credit card info I guess it is about to go poof, if there is an owner? You close the forum, no one can even talk to each other to see what's going on. No good-bye announcements? This is what I don't like about some of these smaller auction-in-a-box sites. They don't own up to the fact that they have failed in the auction site business. One day you go there and poof. GONE.... Not even were "sorry we are closing" message. I don't know if anybody listed there. I have not seen an uproar about this site so I guess it is not missed? oh well... here goes another one I guess. |

Quote:I don't know if anybody listed there. I have not It was very popular on PSU for several months in 2005, listings grew to 25,000-and then the site owner seemed to lose interest. He never did any advertising to buyers. Quote:No good-bye announcements? It happens all the time. One day the site owner is very active on auction forums and then the next day he does a disappearing act from the forums and abandons his site. Quote:Are those all of your sites/stores? Yes. We have 2 more stores that will be open by June. |
