Man, oh man, did y'all have a party last night or what?!?

It's taken me 45 minutes to just catch up, since I had to stop and roll on the floor humming Bohemian Rhapsody. Chiquita, get yourself over here and clean the coffee off this monitor and keyboard! Ohmigawd, but that's hilarious!! I LOVE it!!

We had a number of violent storms with good-sized hail and high winds rip and tear through my area last night. I had to get off line due to the lightning, then we lost DSL for about 45 minutes to an hour, and lastly at nearly the end of the raging last storm that had so much hail, the power went off for nearly twice that long. It was a long, long evening trying to calm frightened sanctuary cats and our very skeerdy-cat Beagle.

I feel rather foolish for signing up under the other name, which as you could tell, was pretty much a bastardization of my selling name, meowsnbarks, that I've used online since 2004. Mandy fixed me up last night to be in sync.

The majority of stores that closed this year were either for non-payment, or the sellers may have listed a dozen items expecting immediate sales.

consider this.  The old crowd still selling on WP know better and their lack of agreement is coming through loud and clear from their silence to this post. Here's a recap of just some of the stores that had more than 12 items that have departed in the last few months. In fact, they all had between 2,000 and 8,000 items. And none of them left due to delinquency but out of disappointment in the performance of WP.

Below 1,000 there are hundreds of stores that I could list that had more the 398 items as our naive poster currently has up. Many of you would be in this list. As for the majority of stores with less than 12 items that are gone, well I can say with confidence that the majority of these were ghost stores. Using the excuse of non-payment for these was KaRay's method of cycling them in and out.

You've all done well and many of those listed above have too on better sites; either another auction one or their own. It is a waste of anger to give credence to the ignorance of one misguided individual. Don't give it another thought.

Sher - I agree wholeheartedly.  It is a waste of good energy - and for the most part, I bite my tongue.  I bite my tongue hard in fact, but my penguin feathers were ruffled this morning and I had to give a shout out!   >    OK, now I feel better, thank you very much.  

Oh and by the way, that one poster you were talking about doing the 180 - she was the one who called for the BD party to be at Karen's and she would bring the    Have had a small conversation or 2 when I was there, we live not too far from each other and she's a nice lady, wish she would get out.

njr55 I don't think we're talking about the same seller. The one I was referring to is a he. But I know who you are referring to. She often posts with subtle questions. I like her style.

An interesting topic of conversation.

We often ask ourselves why any online seller would not want to become part of our marketplace.

We have tons of innovative features, a stellar performance and uptime record, an incredibly affordable selling program, FVF fees substantially less than those of eBay, a solid Customer Care staff and engineering support team, and average of 25,000 unique visitors per month for calendar year 2007.

Is that not enough for those who do not yet participate?

I'm not sure what more we could do, although we ask ourselves the question every day and have been unable to figure out any substantive answer.

We think Wagglepop is a great place for both buyers and sellers, but it seems there is some unknown resistance to selling here in numbers greater than what we have currently.

As a company, Wagglepop lists nothing, buys nothing, and sells nothing. We merely provide the means and tools for online users to do that.

The only way sellers get an alternative to eBay is by creating one with one simple action:

Participation.

We have tons of innovative features that I could turn on but desperately need funds for some new pink robes and bunny slippers, a stellar sorry assed performance and uptime record (hey, we've only been down all night 3x in 3 months!), an incredibly affordable harding working selling program cult slave force that works for free in my behalf, FVF fees substantially less than those of eBay if y'all will get up off your dead asses and PROMOTE AND SELL your crap, a solid you have me - the King of Pink Egopia - as your Customer Care staff and engineering support team (don't forget, I do need my all-night beauty sleep!), and average of 25,000 unique TT visitors per month for calendar year 2007.

If someone is paying you money... you ARE selling something Ray!!  That something doesn't have to be a tangible item... (that means you can physically hold it in your hand dumbass)... you can sell a service or an idea, or hmmm... let's see... selling venue store space?

Once again... just so I am clear... PEOPLE PAY YOU BECAUSE YOU SELL THEM STORE SPACE!!

Oh and you should have thought about this "participation" problem when you had over 900 stores.  You should have done some advertising... I asked many times when I was a popper when you guys were going to advertise and I got reprimanded for it every time.  I don't feel bad for your lack of "participation"... you brought this on yourself... and you still are making the same mistakes every single day.
