Brat, that's awful the boy cancelled right before the dance. If I were that boy's mother, well, I don't know what I'd do, but I wouldn't be pleased. Yes, teens are fickle, but they also need to learn how to honor committments. And in 8th grade, they shouldn't be having date dances anyway. It should be friends going together. Yikes, my son's 5, my daughter's 4, I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when they're teenagers!
