Guess they still need to trim some of the forums. Didn't Andray say that anything with less than 100 posts in the last year would be going away?
Quote: By my count, that will leave exactly 4 threads on the "Category Specific Discussion Boards". Nice..... |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Another so called "new" store just opened on WP - called On A Moonbeam.
With a registration date of May 16th, 2006 as in the day WP opened? Give me a break AndRay nobody is going to buy that it has sat dormant and been paid for, for 13 months. You must be getting desperate. That's the second ghost store you've brought out today. Edited to add: And you might want to clean up the eBay link in the listing. Geesh.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
And I have one more thing to add. This store was officially closed back in November. It never had many items in it. So how does this seller manage to re-open a closed account? The answer is they can't - only the Boinkard owner can.
Edited again: Sorry I'm just too astounded to think straight. When it was closed in November, I already had it sitting on my empty list and there was no product in it for at least a month before that. I have tracted all the stores that ever opened on WP in the past week and that one didn't even come up. I am convinced it was hidden behind a screen similar to this: http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/auction/vie...w_feedback&userID=21 More on this research coming at a later date.
That one's a little hard to explain isn't it? We've heard too many times how you lose your ID, feedback and everything else when you close your store. Supposedly, there's no way to get it back. I think you're dead on about this one! Keep up the good work. I love hearing your 'reports'!
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Oh and it looks like Ray was here reading, cause the eBay links have been taken out of the auction. ~Patti~ |

Oh and it looks like Ray was here reading, cause the eBay links have been taken out of the auction. ~Patti~
A good point. It is missing from all the ghost stores. Before you found your way here and when these useless icons were bestowed on the faithful, KaRay over-looked going through his stable of ghost stores and adding them there. I mentioned it here way back when. It was a sure indication that a particular store WAS a ghost store when it was reactived. If they had been paying all along for an empty store they would have received the icon. Most of those stores are gone now - but not all of them. The eBay link to their store is still there on the Me page but you are right, the others have disappeared since I first posted. This seller, On A Moonbeam, has a thriving store on eBay with 5,117 feedbacks. 126 earned in the last month, 372 in the last 6 months and 1,177 in the last year. Think about this logically. They signed up in May 06. Maybe ran a store for a few months. However long they were on WP they left with zero feedback. Back in October/November last year the store count was high. 900 - at it's peak. Is someone from Popland going to argue that this seller would come back now, reopen their store after their past experience (as if they could) 7 months later when the store count is down to 218? Would you? This is a joke right KaRay? To your last post Patti, this store brought it up to 219.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
As I was reading through other great threads on TT I ran across a link that ALL LURKERS SHOULD READ:
Downfall of WP I http://www.ecommerce-guide.com/news/news...hp/3485161 I think I read it long ago but now I find it amazing to read, full of information. It does look like for WP2 he tried to follow the advice of having (or at least pretending) to have customer service reps. But watching what has happened to that site recently looks just like the story just with new customer care people. Customer service getting tired of questions, deleting posts, nice customer service rep replaced by "mean" guy, all the blame placed on infiltrators, ebay, naysayers (since day one). Whole forums removed. Reports removed. Yes, go ask when they are going to post the sales report, if you dare. Ask what happened to we the people if you dare. When was it ok, regardless of questions asked, to speak rudely to a customer and harrass? That is like condoning abuse when the abuser states "they provoked me". Does that make it ok? It is amazing what you really notice when you aren't going on blind faith and take a step back to view the whole picture. The similarities are amazing. I think ALL the WP believers should read Wagglepop CEO Sticks Fork In Site: It's Done There is a difference between positive attitude and blind faith. Do you always blame others for everything that has gone wrong in your life? After over 700 stores closing, you still think it is just the naysayers and infiltrators? |
