As others had stated, more than 700+ stores have left WP. There is no way anyone can say that many stores left due to others bashing WP. That is an enormous amount, and many have actually been banned, and cannot even shop at WP. All those stores are of course NOT going to recommend that site to anyone. So that also decreases visitors. If you walk into a brick and morter store to purchase something, if the sales person insulted you, threatened you, or was just rude to you, would you shop there again or recommend it? If a customer is friendly or rude it doesn't really matter. It is how they are handled is what counts. A companies customer service speaks volumes. I just wish all the sellers would take all that blind faith they have in Wagglepop and focus it on themselves.
Very well said Karma!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
WOW! Lightening knocks out my power for a day, and I get back on board to find a poster who isn't even a WP seller coming over here to shame us and accuse of "cyberstalking" WTF?
Get a grip, MBB. Are you telling me that the happy culitsts over at WP are so naive as to think what they say is "private". It's a public forum for Crissake! I'm fully aware that what I say here can pop up anywhere, and much of it has. That's part and parcel of the territory called PUBLIC INTERNET FORUM. And talk about private! If WP sellers are so concerned about privacy, I would think they would be more upset about the lack of privacy from within: the "cyberstalking" and UNLAWFUL practicies their divine leader Ray engages upon in reading, confiscating, intercepting and altering PMs between members. The deletion of posts, entire threads and forums on a bad hair day. Oh, and did you know that Ray plots your exact location and logs your phone and IP to "verify" your identity? Doesn't that take the wind out of your "right to privacy" argmument? What's private about WP is what SHOULD BE PUBLIC -- owner's bio/experience/qualifications, marketing strategies, sales projections, and other data conscientious business people would want to know about the entity into which they are investing their hard-earned time, money and energy. And one other thing, MBB. Since you are NOT a WP seller, why do you feel qualified to speak on their behalf? From what I've read, I find no mention of you even being a member of their dandy cult community. Hey, I have a challenge for you. If you haven't registered at WP, do so. Post this on the very private WP forum: "Hello. I am a new member considering opening a store. Would someone please tell me what features WP offers me at $9.95 for a basic store, that at least a dozen other GROWNING venues I've investigated are offering at NO CHARGE WHATSOEVER?" I Dare, Dare, Double Dare you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Well, to be honest, I think I'm going to fade back in the shadows and just lurk from now on.
Over on WP, they are now talking about their non-ghost stores and signing posts with XXX. I've lost any empathy. Don't get me wrong - I love my TT friends and enjoy the chats. I'm just tired of "talking" to a bunch of brick walls that are bound and determined to follow Ray to South America no matter what facts or information is given to them. WP will fail. It basically already has. If the floundering members (and that term is SO appropriate) want to continue champagne Kool-Aid swilling and pom pom waving, so be it. There's so much other valuable info here on TT, I'll still be around. I'm just not going to waste any more time, thought or energy on Ray and his kick-ass loser site.

Those currently trying to "rally" the troops are the ones who are doing the most selling to OTHER SELLERS. Why would they logistically want WP to fail? As eclectica stated, it is like pounding your head. But, either way, Wagglepop will never, ever, ever be a rival to Ebay or any other site for that matter. Have a charming day everyone, and you too MMB! |

MBB, It is always nice to see new people drop by and learn of their online experiences and you are not an exception. But I am having difficulty sorting fact from fiction in what you have posted so far. Let me give you a few examples of my confusion.
While I am not the one who posted it.It was directed straight at this forum or did you miss the kool-aid part? Last evening another wp member stumbled upon this forum by accident...

As i stated before I am not the one who wrote it however ...
"While I am not the one who posted..." lends the belief that you are registered at WP, you could have posted. You clearly state twice that you didn't partake in that WP thread and the only way to read your choice of words "another wp member..." would be that you are one too. Yet a couple of posts later you start back-peddling stating you are not a member of WP, can't read the boards etc.
I am simply a third party relaying a message. I happen to be friends with two of the other sellers
Again "other" sellers can only be read as inclusive of you. I saw the "lets yank their chain" thread on WP. The participants were 4. One only posted asking the OP to PM them as to where this board is. The other 3 carried the conversation with a total of 19 posts. By your admission you are friends with 2 of these people. You not only know who contributed to that thread but you are able to quote from it. I'm truly impressed with the detail you are privy to. That email your friend sent you must have been quite long! And how curious that neither of these friends, especially your email one never mentioned this TT thread to you. It contains over a year's worth of posts. It wasn't born yesterday.
quite honestly i have no agenda.
Quite honestly I find that hard to swallow. I think you need a proof-reader before you hit that submit button so you can keep your facts and fictions straight. It works like a charm.
So true Sherrand!! |
Why Karma I think of your posts as charming Sherrand I do believe once again you have pointed out the lingering questions, ones that need answering. Do I believe this person is already an active full fledged seller on WP?- Yes I do Do I believe they were looking for hosting at TT?-No I don't believe in coincidence, and I don't believe in Fairy Tales |

Quote:And why the frig do poppers need a spokesperson?I will answer that Platzki...because that's their new way of advertising...how dynamic! I love most of the sellers at WP. As for the rest, I probably haven't met them. Do NOT blame anyone on this forum for hurting WP sellers. We have said time and time again that we love their widgets. We just prefer NOT to let Ray have any part of our hard earned money. I support all online sellers at other venues and those who have their own websites. I support WP sellers IF they sell elsewhere. Although I speak only for myself, I think that I shop regularly with former poppers. I love their products and their customer service. If I am not already, I intend to be a repeat customer. It's NOT the sellers that I have a problem with....it's the VENUE.
I hate stupid people!
Eclectica, don't pay them an iota of attention. What they are posting on WP will only backfire on them with their references to TT. Buyers (the few that 'stumble' onto WP) and other sellers who read but don't post on the WP forums will have their curiosity pricked by the conversation. They will follow the bread crumbs and find us and we will be given the opportunity to either inform them of WP's nefarious operation or confirm any suspicions they were already harbouring when they read our thread. So let them have at it. I welcome the results. Nothing like having the insiders doing your work for you. They can chuckle about ghost stores, claim they are pretty live looking ghosts. That's fine. Perhaps they didn't have their reading glasses on when they read posts pertaining to this phenomena. They seem to have missed registering the symptoms that define a ghost store. But the sellers and potential sellers who read their jovial posts will wonder what is meant by a ghost store. And on here, they will learn. Don't you love it when a plan comes together?
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.
