I think I have about 23 feedback comments - but I've been selling quite a bit of stuff, and get emails from customers thanking me and the such. I think they have no idea about feedback, or where to click to leave it. That's fine with me . . . I've yet to have someone try to extort products out of me with feedback threats over there. However, on eBay, about every month I have some brain surgeon say "I'm not paying, but if you don't send the product then I'm going to leave nasty feedback." Anybody else get these idjits? Jen [/quote] Yes to all of that. Less than 5% of our Amazon buyers leave feedback...way less. Overstock and Yahoo aren't much better, with less than 20% leaving feedback. Quote:My recent irritation Mine would be buyers on eBay and Overstock who ignore every email and don't pay until a non paying bidder has been filed. My recent venue specific irritations: eBay- an international bidder who paid with a PayPal echeck after an NPB was filed and so it was almost 4 weeks after the auction before I received payment. Overstock- a buyer who bought a $2.49 toy truck and didn't pay until after an NPB was filed. This one was realllllllly irritating because A. the buyer is a Platinum Power Seller on eBay and should have been able to come up with the fr_k'n money for a under $3 toy, and B. the buyer was only buying because he wanted to build up his feedback before he started selling on O.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

Re: 396942
Woo-hoo! I got both a BID AND a SALE (whatever yahoo calls their BINs) today!!
I finally figured out how to make their bulk uploader work (I'm spreadsheet challenged) and got about 75 things up last night. It was a ROYAL PITA but hopefully will be easier the next time now that I know all of the things to NOT do! |

Great NEWs.. Getting some sales and stuff I mean Next time will be easier because its already there. The public IS changing who they trust and where they buy. The indications seem to be far away from u know who. So focus on new areas less traveled as you are. (They are coming BACK) REAL treasure hunters still DO HUNT. Glad to see your getting action.

Re: 396942
BTW - anyone considering using yahoo's bulk uploader:
This was my big time suck mistake. You have to upload your photos to them unless you have them in your description html, which I don't.. OK, no problem. I keep my images in folders on my hard drive by category. I zipped each category for which I was listing items. I figured I'd just go ahead and zip them all and upload them so they'd all be there. Right? Wrong. If you upload a csv file and there are images that don't match any of the image names in the file, you get error messages. One for each unmatched image. And each unmatched image has to be individually deleted. I had . . . about a hundred unmatched images. :-P |
