Well it seems like many of you feel 1 day isn't worth it. Do you think a 3 day would or are you thinking it's not even worth it at all? I feel completely overloaded and beat up by ebay.
I think it's obvious that ebay wishes the Stores would just go away. They want store owners to list on the core site, with Auctions and BIN. They even said so in that last announcement -- they're going to include auctions in EExpress. BUT NOT STORE ITEMS. STORE ITEMS WILL BE LISTED AT THE VERY BOTTOM ONLY AND WILL NOT BE GIVEN ANY KIND OF PRIORITY LISTING!!! Wake up, everyone!! It's a no-brainer now that ebay wants stores G O N E !! And if store owners still refuse to support the core sight via auctions and BIN listings, ebay will raise the store fees AGAIN in a few months!!! I don't know what's worse. Sounding like TR or XPP... > |

Nope. None of it matters. Not until ya say
Bob said in December 2004 and missed out on all the fun--last year's fee hike, this years search meltdown, and fee hike. ;D |

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
I wonder how this affects and what eBay is saying to the people who bought into their Pro Stores?

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
Am just posting some links I'm finding http://firemeg.blogspot.com/
I think we can use the blogs (blogspot, ebay, myspace, livejournal, etc) to spread the word even further. |
Linking to a site from blogs can be a very effective way to get a message across if everyone uses the same keyword when they link. 2 examples: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=liar&btnG=Search http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=failure&btnG=Search You could do something similar with links to eBay. |

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
The best and most effective plan is the news media. Ebay is now taking the lively hoods of many people and throwing it in the trash. They have such an ad too stating x number make their livelyhood on ebay. Sure, the public doesnt like companies who do this, nor does the public like using good ole USA citizens to pay for foreign markets.
The overall population has no clue that ebay has hidden stores from them and not shown them all the great deals available. This in itself will make alot of people mad, the fact ebay has chosen to make them pay higher for items, even when there are cheaper ones in stores. Ebay made the decision to not let the buyer find them. Oh I bet that wont sit well with the buying public. Then to add insult, ebay only wants the buyer to pay the highest price by trying to get stores to just go away. Oh, does the public know what ebay is doing? I dont think so. But time they do know. Does the public know the US is subsidizing the foreign markets? I bet they dont. Does the public know how ebay has pushed stores as being the next best thing when search was going on? How they herded new stores owners into a corral with their promices only to take away all the benefits? Certainly the public needs to be informed so they can make an intelligent decision on what is really going on. I for one will be leaving ebay, tired of all the changes and clueless decisions. One last thought, does the media know how really bad the scammers are? Key in GPS or plasma tv and see how many accts are hijacked. So bottom line is, use the news media |

Re: STORE OWNERS BOYCOTT EBAY IN PROTEST
As a follow up, this was reported by Ina from Ebays stockholder investor meeting:
eBay new listings totaled 596 million in Q2-06, 35% higher than the 440 million new listings reported in Q2-05. Now, golly gee, are these 596 million listings the 83% store listings cobb mentioned as the imbalance? I cant imagine this number being auctions LOL, everyone knows medved showing low auctions. So, does he use this number to make the media think they are doing really well, and not tell them this is the stores inventory that is being hidden from view? I would really like to know if the 596 million new listings is mostly from stores. Anyone know or can find out? |
