Anyone know what the deal is with the Error Message you get when browsing an OSMax site with I explorer? What I've read on the osMax forums is unclear but I did run across something suggesting a server side error in the server config? Here is the error I get and it's not just on mine it is on Mrs. Molly's pages too. I also checked my code against the code provided at osMax. It's identical. Quote:Line: 168
There's a javascript error in the aabox and fallback templates. The error doesn't exist on the CSS-fluid-1 template (try the demo at www.tulipstuff.com/demomax/ which is using the CSS-fluid-1 template and you won't get the error)

|

Re: Using oscMax?? Need a buddy?
Sorry I missed these replies yesterday evening guys.
So much Waggleflop and all and I didn't think to even look at recent replies. (Was pretty busy doing other stuff too) So are you saying if I snatch the main_page.tpl.php from the CSS-fluid-1 template and make my adjustments (add my own html like I did on the aabox one) that all will / should be good? Or should I say. I need to SWITCH which template I am using to the CSS-fluid-1 template in my OSCMAX admin panel? (and make those changes as needed on any pages I have already altered in the CSS-fluid-1 template files?) I've never messed with Java either (or php for that matter) but when this is said and done. I'm going to be a fucking expert. :blinkie: I guess the AABOX templete comes as default huh? hmmmmm. I'm going to get you guys cause I bet you already knew this and just wanted to play with me huh? Someone is going to get a good If I ever get to NY. ROFLMAO

Quote:I need to SWITCH which template I am using to the CSS-fluid-1 template You can change templates in the Configuration-MyStore section. Just enter the directory name of the new template in the 'default template directory' section. The javascript that is causing the problem is for the 'cool menu' contribution.

So cool menu isn't so cool after all huh?
I'll be making that change and advising the others to do it too. AABOX... maybe it should be called ASPBOX. Thanks man.

Re: Using oscMax?? Need a buddy?
Oh Cranky one.
Go to your home page using IE browser. It's really not a big deal BUT may "scare" off potential IE browsing customers. You know someone may see the little yellow ERROR icon in the lower left of her screen and say. "OMG this site is full of problems. It's NOT secure". She/he hits the back button. Something we don't want from any one.

I'll take the seat next to you! I rarely use IE so hadn't spotted this yet. I will muddle through trying to change the template, but darn!!! the new one is ugly!! Oh, well! Such is life!
It is important to realize that each of us has a role in advancing my future.

Re: Using oscMax?? Need a buddy?
You can change the new template just like the old one.
If you send me your logo Ms Molly I can make it go. (I think) LOL No two part section either. Just a few minor adjustments. Guys and girls..It's FREE so what do you expect? Work with it and you WILL know your website up and down. That alone can and will save YOU hundreds if not thousands of $$ a year to operate your e commerce site.
