Re: Can I edit oscmax in Front Pg or GoLive?
Yes, both FP and GolIve have FTP built in. Have never used it though.
Quote:You can also view the php files from the TT file manager then copy /paste into your editor to change stuff. I like that idea. Now, to change the files in the file mgr, I would just C&P my revised code back into the file mgr? |

Front Page is EVIIIIILLLLLLL. It mangles code and inserts a bunch of crap.
free FTP program: http://www.coreftp.com/download/setup.exe editor (shareware, 30 day free trial): http://www.editplus.com/ another editor (30 day free trial): http://www.ultraedit.com/index.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1 Quote:I don't think doing that would allow editing of all the files re oscmax. The only files you need to edit are the ones in the /templates/ directories
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

Re: Can I edit oscmax in Front Pg or GoLive?
< < < FrontPage user! :-[ < < If you set the authoring to work without FP server extensions, you can avoid all the added GOO that FP inserts. Optimizing also helps a bit. I'm not beating the drum for Microsoft... but after nearly two years of using FP, I HAVE learned that it's not a complete fix for the HTML challenged... but it's really not a bad program... for what it does, anyhow. Sort of moot, in any case... FP 2003 will be the last version published. As far as FTP, I use WinSCP... this is for SECURE FTP file transfers. I wouldn't recommend it for the novice, however... it's settings can be a bit daunting. |
