oh..I should say....I won't buy on ebay unless some poor unfortunate soul gives me a 99 cent deal on something I'm going to re-sell for 10X that amount on my website.

Xpp,
You've known about eBay's unethical practices for a loooooong time. Some are just learning the truth. As you know, it takes time for a seller to branch out by harvesting customer e-mails, getting directed to the right place to get the info they need, etc. PS I'm not bashing you. |

And we can thank eBay for making it that way! I got an eBay "Business Catalog" from them yesterday, in which they display common office equipment & computers with an "average sale price." The back cover touted how one buyer had bought "$700,000 worth of office equipment on eBay for only $50,000!" As a buyer--I'm sure he's happy. As sellers of business equipment, I'm sure they all love being in a flea market race to the bottom. If I want pennies for my products, I may as well donate them to charity. I have not purchased anything off of eBay since early September. By now, I would have usually spent several hundred dollars (at least). I bought a lot of things off of there--but now I go looking for a website first in EVERY case. I used to do a lot of business supply, resale, and personal shopping on eBay. I've decided that even if I can't find "it" somewhere else, I'm not going to eBay to get "it."

Donate them without going through eBay. eBay and Mission Fish have quite the racket going there also. |
