Does anyone remember X.com and CCNow?

My largest sale on ebay was paid with a cashier's check. Surprised the heck out of me. So, it can be a tough call to not accept any form of paper. Guess it depends on what you're selling.

Does anyone remember X.com and CCNow? [/quote] ProPay is similar to CCNow, but a heck of a lot cheaper. You can also enter cc manually with ProPay if you would have a phone order, flea market sale, etc.
It is important to realize that each of us has a role in advancing my future.

Re: Low-cost alternative payment methods touting greater security gain market share
CCnow totally changed their format. They used to be more like ProPay or PayPal--now they're just a standard merchant account, essentially.
I was signed up with X.com before PayPal bought them out. I still have a box of checks from X.com somewhere. They used to give checks for your X account (I believe X.com was an FDIC ensured company--but I could be totally wrong). That could be why PP doesn't give out checks for your account any more.
