Based on what I read so far, there is no question that Randy acknowledges that the biz errors were his (and he made some whoppers).

Right now it looks to me like he is trying to get some mileage out of his notoriety, at least to create some kind of buzz around his story and ride Ebay a while. Ride 'em, cowboy. Yawn.

Let's not talk about the market that EBAY created, the persistent marketing of "get it cheaper here", the constant promotion of sellers who list 99 cent items. 

Although this market is primarily geared toward new, retail products, it has spilled over into the antiques/collectibles categories.  One antiques dealer even told me some time ago that the "absolute" value of an antique is what it fetches on ebay.  That's the sort of thinking that has driven the prices in many ebay collectible categories south of Hades.
