Quote:I didn't edit any files directly, so I don't know what to do now to get rolling along again. some help please? I'll take a look at the configuration settings. The checkout is trying to use SSL and should be set to non-SSL. |

Re: Virtuemart/Joomla - way confused
I changed it to add the s at the end of Http because I thought I had to. but if I'm using paypal, google checkout, and mailed payment, I wouldn't need a secure server, would i?
i just went into config and changed the secure server https back to http, since I don't think I need a secure server. but there apparently is a bug I'm having with the category list. I can't change the order because an item is checked out (this is in vm component not main joomla admin) but the vm forum said vm doesn't use the checked out thingie, just the joomla CMS. do you know anything about this? |

The category display order in virtuemart can be changed in the category tree using the text boxes on the far right (located next to the remove column). Re: Virtuemart/Joomla - way confused
FYI
Google checkout requires you to have a SSL certificate if you use there API to proccess order's on your site, before it goes to google checkout. |

Re: Virtuemart/Joomla - way confused
Quote:google checkout.Virtuemart doesn't directly support GoogleCheckout yet but you can use Google Checkout's new email invoice feature to collect payment (no SSL needed for email invoices. You send them from your Google account). In the cart you'd probably use the same setting as you do for money orders if you want to use GC email invoicing. I'll have to look on VirtueMart's forums to see when they're planning to add support for direct payments by Google Checkout. Quote:but there apparently is a bug I'm having with the category list. There was a bug with reordering categories. Virtuemart released a new version late last night that fixes that bug and a few others: Quote:VirtueMart 1.0.9 is available!http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=234&Itemid=57 The patch is here: http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=290 It's a very minor maintenance release. There are only a few changed files to upload and no database changes. If you want I can do the upgrade for you. |

Re: Virtuemart/Joomla - way confused
OK...there is a Google Checkout mod but it might only work with php5. I'm going to try installing it on the demo virtuemart (which is php4) and see if it works with php4.
