Because I hate being surprised by outrageous shipping rates, I always look for the shipping info before i put anything in to my cart. If I can't find it, I won't order. Shipping rates, IMO, should be published on the site and easy to locate (don't make me work for it or I will just leave)! :turkey2: |

That has caused me more than once to abandon the cart, and the site. All of the reasons cited above directly impact my decision as a buyer on any site I look at. |

Unfortunately I think my site is set up (if I remember correctly from my test orders) to not show your shipping until your all situated to check out, basically before you hit pay I think. How can I fix this? I use the USPS Shipping Module? I just checked. Your cart is the same as ours: there is a shipping calculator on the shopping cart page so the customer doesn't have to enter any info to see shipping.
You could add a note to your site that says something like "add item to shopping cart to see shipping charges to your zip code" |
