3 pages load? Web gurus--why would eBay do this???
From a stores board post about the back button no longer working on eBay:
Quote:For some reason lately eBay pages are putting in 3-6 instances of the page instead of just 1. If you then pick the instance back beyond the repeat of that page, you will go back. On my web site stats when someone clicks on my site form eBay 3 entries come up. Any ideas on why they would do this if they are doing it on purpose?? Kim |

Quote:if they are doing it on purpose?? I can't think of any reason to do it on purpose unless you were trying to inflate your page counts, and the extra bandwidth costs (especially for a site with eBay's traffic) would more than negate any benefits of reporting higher traffic. A glitch is probably the only explanation for pages being pulled from 3 servers. There have also been connection problems recently with Comcast and a couple of other ISPs due to problems on eBay's end.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

It's probably a timing issue with their grid.
