Online Shoppers Rely on Search Engines for Research
Quote:A new study published by search engine marketer, icrossing, reveals that the majority of online adult shoppers who research products online before making a purchase decision rely on search engines more than any other tool to conduct their research.

Search engines are the most popular online research tool, used by 67% of U.S. adults who research online before making a purchase decision. 40% of those conducting online research go to search engines first. Nearly equal percentages of respondents who use search engines to research products online use them to find a website from which to buy or to investigate where to purchase their desired product (54% and 53%, respectively).

Most of our web site (and eBay store) buyers find us through search engines.

Re: Online Shoppers Rely on Search Engines for Research
Same here BBH, most of my customers are coming from the search engines.  I get a few transplants from ebay and I honestly think thats because its soooo much easier for them to purchase more then 1 item at a time (shopping carts are great).  Most sales on my site are for multiple items, cant say that about ebay  Wink
