Plunderhere and Alsoshop have both added new categories and subcategories http://www.plunderhere.com/From-other-venues-4859.htm http://www.alsoshop.com/From-other-Venue...categories Quote:Category: From other venues
Maybe someone should clue the boinktards in that using a registered trademark owned by one of your competitors (Etsy) to sell products, which is what they're doing by using the word 'Etsy' as a category, is going to result in Etsy hitting them and the boinktard mod maker with trademark infringement lawsuits...and guess what idiots, fake LLCs do not offer any protection from liability in a real court room. The trademark on the word Etsy covers online auction services and practically every other aspect of ecommerce from use on sites with 3rd party sellers to use on sites offering feedback systems.. Quote: ETSY Etsy also has 2 other registered trademarks on the word 'Etsy" - all of them apply to ecommerce sites like PH and ASs. I'm breaking out the popcorn to watch the boinktards squeal when the C&Ds arrive. :popcorneaters:
OH!! That's funny!! While Etsy was busy writing a business plan, securing investors, actually marketing (the name is everywhere from trade publications to people talking in the street) and improving the site for sellers and a better buying experience someone actually spent their time and some money to suck some free traffic off of Etsy's efforts. I looked at one of the Etsy items and it's "free" if you pay the sellers Etsy fees and shipping. It's some weird convoluted form of ecommerce. RUN AWAY LITTLE SELLERS!! RUN LIKE THE WIND!! |

Never mind my question about tags. Evidently posts are edited by admin or mods. I just clicked "add a tag" and received the message that I'm not allowed to add a tag.

Quote: Just like I have no idea how "tags" got attached to my previous post. Is that automated or was my posted edited? The tags are automatically added to the first post on every page of a topic. The old version of the mod we used until December added them at the bottom of every page. Quote: Evidently posts are edited by admin or mods. I've learned from eCommerce to keep the damn sock on except when you're actually doing business. Expressing an opinion and, heaven forbid, telling the truth can cause more personal trouble than it's worth. Hell, even with a sock on. Anyone read the Skank Suit? If the rinky dinks weren't so damn broke they'd be running legal cases just to get some attention to themselves. Ewwww. Hush mah mouth, huh!?! It's not like they need new unethical ideas! |

Plunderhere and Alsoshop have both added new categories and subcategories http://www.plunderhere.com/From-other-venues-4859.htm http://www.alsoshop.com/From-other-Venue...categories Quote:Category: From other venues
The intelligent thing to do when you're writing an importer mod would be to map Site A's categories to your existing category structure. It would provide a much better buyer experience for shoppers than having to wade through tons of unrelated items in a 'from other venues' category...but wait, I forgot, the phrase 'buyer experience' isn't in the vocabulary of any PHP Pro Bid site owner because if it was they wouldn't be using a buyer unfriendly POS script like Php Pro Bid.
