Selling Tools for Mining Earth's Biggest Bookstore - Amazon
Reviews of Amazon selling tools AMan, Monsoon, Seller Engine, and ScoutPal
Quote:On Amazon.com, as on eBay, the principle holds that the more desirable items you can get online at any one time, the greater your income will be. The key is to automate processes like formatting sales descriptions, adding images, and printing shipping labels. Since most of the items listed on Amazon have identifiers like UPC or ASIN numbers, it would save time if you could gather those numbers automatically, too. full article: http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abu/y205/m10/abu0153/s02 |

Re: Selling Tools for Mining Earth's Biggest Bookstore - Amazon
I just started using the Art of Books.
Love it. Just in the nick of time, too, since I also just sold my first already sold book! I *thought* I'd been doing a good job of keeping both my Amazon and Alibris inventories current. Obviously, I was not. Even more scary, during a fun filled self imposed inventory audit, I found a half a dozen more titles I'd already sold that were also still listed. As a bonus, since AOB manages Biblio sales as well, I signed up with them, too! And last but not least . . . the price is right. Free for up to $500 in sales a month. 1% for $501 to $10000. .5% after that. heh . . . I wish. Beth |

Re: Selling Tools for Mining Earth's Biggest Bookstore - Amazon
Art of Books reminds me a lot of Fillz, but the rates are lower for new users.
Art of books: http://www.theartofbooks.com/ (Amazon, Abe, Alibris, Half.com, Biblio, and eBay) I use Fillz http://www.fillz.com (Amazon, Abe, Alibris, Half.com, Biblio, Valore, TextBookX, Gemm.com, Chrislands, and eBay) . Another widely used inventory management program not mentioned in that article is Homebase http://www.abebooks.com/docs/homebase/main.shtml Quote: Even more scary, during a fun filled self imposed inventory audit, I found a half a dozen more titles I'd already sold that were also still listed. I had that problem a few years ago when I switched from eBay's buggy SA Pro to Marketworks. I think there were about 20 sold items that SA Pro never subtracted from inventory. :blinkie:

Re: Selling Tools for Mining Earth's Biggest Bookstore - Amazon
I actually have had great customer service from both fillz and AOB, but with the price difference for a newbie, it's a no brainer for me!
I think I have the inventory straight . . . knock on wood . . . but I am going to make one last pass through this evening before listing any more books! |

Re: Selling Tools for Mining Earth's Biggest Bookstore - Amazon
I just had my first biblio sale.
OK, so it took . . . almost three months. But it takes neither effort nor $$ to keep my books listed there, so why not? |

Amazon Selling Tools: Fillz vs. AOB
I haven't even read the first post in this thread but there's probably oodles of useful information in the thread
Fillz/AOB which way to go? http://www.amazonsellercommunity.com/for...dID=113483&tstart=0 ...and if there's nothing useful in that thread, try Amazon's 3rd Party Software & Services Forum for info on other 3rd party tools: http://www.amazonsellercommunity.com/for...forumID=26&start=0

Re: Selling Tools for Mining Earth's Biggest Bookstore - Amazon
I'm still happy as a pig in shit :-) with AOB. Great customer service. The issues I've had have all been eBay related - go figure - but the response time is great and they've solved my problems.
