Ray might need to add another server to handle all that extra traffic. 

Must not a buyer be registered to purchase on WP, thereby making the buyer a WPer?

Anyone seen anything new on Wagglepop since the switchover to SSE?..................bla bla bla.............

You should begin to see some implementations shortly, beginning with the new Browse and Search display sets in beta mode.

We do not have the testing infrastructure we normally used so we need to be particularly sure that all implementations include clean code and have an acceptable level of support for issues related to them.

Of the many things we have learned in just over two years, one of the most important is that no change is simple and all changes must have a solid support system in place before making them. Membership deserves that continuation of our high standards of operation and we will not settle for any less from ourselves regardless of participation volume. 

No firm timeline as many of the techincal and support staff are on '"summer" schedules.

As participation no longer allows us to dictate those schedules "on demand" as preferred, we typically must be more patient and flexible with our timelines in general and more carefully coordinate efforts between them.

bla bla............Andrew's statements about the support staff are understandable. Most companies are short-handed during the summer months when everyone is taking vacation. And what with the economy being so bad right now, most companies cannot afford to pay overtime for their employees. Therefore, they cannot "demand" that employees commit to hours other than normal work hours. I think that's what he meant. At least, that's the way I understood it.

Does anyone mind if I borrow this quote to show MY boss?  Since he owns the company, he seems to think that he can "demand" his employees to work overtime, if needed, to keep the clients happy.  I guess his college degree is just another piece of paper and his profitable business has just been a big sham for the last 25+ years.

Gosh, I hate to disillusion him like this.

Translation: Summer is hot in New York, so we're way busy hanging out on the porch, drinking beer, and watching the sidewalk crack. Occasionally, we take 30 seconds out of our busy day to upload a few hundred mag cut-outs that won't sell on eBay. We don't really have any changes scheduled for WP -- we're just jiving you, like we have been doing all along.

New store: "Use It Again"?  Don't recall seeing it before. Although supposedly a member since May 2006, there's no "founding" icon and the only sale was over two years ago, although this seller left no FB for the buyer (another book seller), who has since closed shop -- Very odd. Shows one item listed: a "brand new" book by Stephen King (actually, the book was published not long after this seller became a member), the description of which more or less sums up the Wagglepop experience.

eBay Store $5,025.79 ($25.79 in ebay fees plus $5,000 spent on psychiatrist visits and anti-depressants which were needed after visiting the unfriendly eBay discussion forums and being subjected to negativity)

See, even if you only list 8 items in your store, Wagglepop is much cheaper than eBay and will save you thousands of dollars per month.
