Anybody have a clue WTF I screwed up so that my category links do not go to a category page but just to the home page?

Your category links look fine to me.

If it happens again after you add products or categories, go to

configuration>seo urls>reset seo urls cache and change the value from false to true

I noticed a couple of new cats I added had urls ending
in /index.php?cPath=22

and the older ones had urls ending in /c-12.html

Funny thing is in mine the /index.php?cPath=22 url's still work. hmmmmmmmm

You didn't happen to maybe just drip some yummy cucumber sauce

PS MINE says "reset" not true. So Cranker if yours says "reset" just do that.
