Quote:Entrecard teamed up with someone who does not support many blogging platforms. SezWho only supports: WordPress "versions xx to 2.5", Movable Type, Blogger, Drupal and phpBB. FYI, the current WordPress version is 2.6 which isn't supported. The older pre-2.6 versions that SezWho supports all have security vulnerabilities.
This should all be very interesting to watch. I don't think it will prove not to be such a good thing, but then again, there's no way to know. I am wondering if it will affect the pr of EC blogs in a negative way. SezWho also partnered with Izea, aka PayPerPost. Will sezwho cookies on an author's computer cause them to wind up with a zero pr because of the relationship to Izea? Just sayin'........ |

Quote:Given that Google has already banned all PayPerPost users by indexing them with a Pagerank of zero
Yeah, I also HATE PPP blogs. Today's News: Graham has EC Digg members spamming Digg with an article on his partnership deal. On the home page of every EC user, there is a link to this (see link below) article, and a suggestion by Graham to digg it. : : : http://www.joetech.com/2008/07/15/top-10...-bloggers/ Excerpt from article, by Joe Tech (who is never adverse to anything Graham does) Quote:Heres why the partnership between Entrecard and SezWho is important for bloggers everywhere, and something all bloggers should be taken advantage of. Yes, Joe, we all love comments spurred by the promise of ec credits. This means that we can just scrap any decent content (those of us who bothered with that to begin with), and just rely on EC and SW to send us rocketing to the top of the blogosphere. 8) |

incentivized comments http://www.marketingterms.com/dictionary...d_traffic/
The incentivized clicks don't bother me, because I do believe that to some degree, your content has to be good or you don't wind up in the top category slots, which I am. Besides, it's just a means of driving traffic, just like any other advertising. BUT, I thoroughly dislke the idea of paid comments. I don't plan on using SezWho even if they do support Typepad at some point. If I thought it was a great idea, I would move to WordPress in order to be able to use it. The most popular blog (most of the time, no. 1) on EC is also refusing to use it. I agree with him. I only want relevant, sincere comments on my blogs. If I can't get those, I should stop writing. |

Today's Idiots on Entrecard, by BellisimaJ. Someone started a new thread to complain about the no nudity rule. Actually, they complained that adult sites aren't allowed. Some of the dimmer bulbs at Entrecard have totally misinterpreted my stand on the matter, in spite of the fact that they argued with me over it through two threads. I do NOT object to the "no porn" rule. I DO object to the refusal of Entrecard to clarify the term "nudity", which is also against TOS, because they use it to delete sites without warning. Nudity is not necessarily porn. Duh. Dim Bulb No. 1 in response to adult site moron's post this morning: Quote:Because when I am dropping my cards and I have a child on my lap, the last thing I want popping up on my screen is some woman's "*" or a mans "****". Because when I am dropping my cards and I have a child on my lap, the last thing I want popping up on my screen is some woman's "*" or a mans "****". plagarized the comment above in red from Dim Bulb No 2(it was originally posted to one of my threads from the weekend): Apparently, both of them have young children, and they feel that the net should comply with their desire to socialize online while their children (who are unable to read) sit in their laps, or as Dim Bulb No. 2 also put it "if he wanders over while I am online, I don't want him to see..........." So, from their comments, we can assume a few things. 1. They don't pay enough attention to their kids (when my son was little, I never even had time to watch TV, much less think about going online) 2. They think that others should enable their habit of ignoring their kids while playing online, and not post stuff that their kids might see. I wonder if that would include games with gratuitous violence, or pictures of the warmonger, Bush? Somehow I doubt it. 3. Their kids are going to learn a hell of a lot more from their neglect than what a nude body looks like. Dumbasses. Edit to remove links. |

They want the rule, undefined as it is, but hey, they use all kinds of graphic language. tolensmiley: |
