Re: Boinktard of the Week Award: Bidzig.com Plans to Start A Payment System
the latest email:

Quote:We've been hard at work! BidZig.com is scheduled to re-open sometime in late January 06'. Some excited new features have been added like the new look and feel, plus a new payment system called the ZiggieBank. We've partnered with EIPPRO Financial Services to bring you a safe and secure online credit card system for instant payment to your auctions. The fee's associated with the system are lower then the popular payment systems, and it's fully integrated into the BidZig website. EIPPRO is one of the leading invoice generation and payment processing providers for business's in the U.S. Their system is responsible for thousands of invoices generated daily with automated payment scheduling.

The new interface is something I'm really excited about as well. There is more room on the homepage for partner listings, and it's easier for new users to find their way to your auctions. I've included a secret preview screenshot for the former Ziggies located here. New Layout

I've had several requests to open up the website early to former ziggies in preparation for the launch. I'm going to allow you to log in one week before launch to start listing your auctions. I hope to see you in January for what is expected to be a triumphant return of BidZig.com!

Best Regards,
BidZig Web Team

BidZig II will be very short lived if he goes with the name ZiggieBank Happy001 Happy001

Most states prohibit the use of the word bank by any business which is not a regulated financial institution--especially if that business is going to be a payment system

wow, same 2 phone numbers for all sites

Jason was still using his sitesfor.com email address during BidZig 1--check the google cache on a search for "Bidzig" and "Jason Martin" and you'll see it here

Dax Shephard the contact for Bidzig is also listed as the contact for Simplify your billing

FYI- Eippro Financial Services is a software maker

Update: Boinktard of the Week Award: Bidzig.com Plans to Reopen
An update:  This site is expected to open within the next week according to a notice on the front page of BidBoink.  The owner is now allowing former users to signin to the site.  According to one former user, her listings from last Spring are all still in her account, proving once again that the owner's actions have earned him a place in the boinktard hall of shame..  Nothing was ever deleted and the owner retained the users personal information for 8 months without their knowledge. Well I caved.  Since I had listings there from before, and all I need to do was push a button, I pushed the button.  I thought I had more listings, and I don't plan on spending the time to add more, but the (22) I had only took a second to re-list.  I had liked Bidzig a lot, and was one of the reasons I was so pissed when it closed.

Laughing4  I BidBoink, that's excellent.

They flat out lied by saying they would delete everyone's account but then didn't which was evident a few months back when spammed the old members using email addresses that were supposed to have been deleted.  Can you spell liar?

That's the part that bothers me, not that they were quitters and then later admitted it was just a 'hobby' to them but the fact that they flat out lied about claiming to delete everyone's accounts.  If it was not for that then it wouldn't be such a big deal (at least to me) but that lie is a huge lie and just a little fib and lie that proves they cannot be trusted with anything they say because whatever they say chances are will be lie.

I mean, my gosh.....it's one thing if they said they would delete people's listings or something like that and not then that wouldn't be too bad but to say they will delete everyone's accounts including their personal information - their addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc but secretly keep it all?  That lie is unforgivable in my books because that's lower than low.

When I initially got in bed with eBay, I didn't KNOW they were LSOSB.

It would take a LOT to convince me to crawl between the sheets with someone I already know is a LSOSB.

If the guy is a liar, he is capable of ANYTHING.  IMHO
No amount of desperation would make me list anything with him.

Boinktard of the Week Award: Bidzig.com Accidentally Deletes All Listings
I think this one warrants a new Boinktard of the Week auction site owner award:

Boinktard

Quote:As many of you know, tonight I was adding a ton of new features to the site. I was writing and testing the delete all and relist all feature in the expired listings page, and due to a coding error it deleted all the items from the database. I feel absolutely sick right now, and I'm not sure what to do. Many of you have spent hours in the last 6 weeks listing items, and now that's all gone.

I feel like we can recover from this though. I need my ziggies to rally with me in this time of need. I know I'm asking for a miracle here, but if you believe in the site then we can overcome this set back. I've seen you guys list thousands of auctions in 4-5 days, so I know we can do this. I'm willing to work with anyone to help get the auctions back online. I believe in my ziggies and this time I'm asking YOU for help. Please understand that this was a mistake. Please email me with questions or comments, or post in the forums.

Thanks,
Jason(The Head Ziggie)
