Re: Boinktard of the Week Award: Bidzig.com Accidentally Deletes All Listings

I think he's a great canidate for Boinktard of the Year!
[/quote]

I'll second that motion.  I feel really sorry for the sellers who spent all that time listing.  I'm also amazed that people are over there relisting today--first he shuts the site down last year and lies about deleting everyone's personal info, and now this...

Boinkard sounds too good for him....what a loser. I notice that he conveniently didn't "lose" all their "partner" list - the one that is filled with sellers who never returned since he lied about deleting all their info but conveniently had it when he restarted the site - all to fool newcomers into thinking it's a busy site when many of those sellers (aka partners) won't have a thing to do with him?

The 'complete list' link at the bottom of their home page links to a page that has all the items listed on the site.  14 sellers have relisted today.

What is the ZiggieBank?
The ZiggieBank is BidZig's custom-built payment solution. You will be able to accept instant payment from buyers using the ZiggieBank's credit card processing abilities. This allows you to accept credit card payments for all of your auctions, will speed up transaction times and guarantees that the funds are available for payment. You only pay per transaction charges, with no gateway fees. We take care of those for you!

This from a man who just deleted his entire database?

I just took a peek on his forum, and I didn't see one question pertaining to why he didn't have a backup.  That crowd looks very similiar to the old poppers, and it's too bad because just like Ray, Jason appears to have attracted some good sellers.  Well I shoud say, "people that sell good products."  Their business sense is another matter completely.

It is--they've spent the post Ray period going from one lieing auction owner to another: BidZig, BidChaser, LunarBid, and whoever the latest flavor of the day is on PSU.

BTW- speaking of Ray, the 18th was the 1 year anniversary of him pulling the plug.

I think it is a safe bet that you did NOT send a card!

I don't think I'd trust my telephone number to him, let alone my credit card information.

Maybe there were posts but they were "accidentally" deleted?
