Bumping because PriceGrabber was mentioned in another thread.
Quote:Range of products. You can only sell items that fall into the following ten categories: Computers, Photography, Software, Electronics, Video Games, Movies, Music, Books, Toys and Office. PriceGrabber has expanded the list of categories since that article was published.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

PriceGrabber to become exclusive comparison shopping partner for AOL Shopping
From an email sent to PriceGrabber merchants:
Quote:PriceGrabber.com is proud to announce a strategic partnership with AOL. PriceGrabber will become the exclusive comparison shopping partner for AOL Shopping, providing an extensive catalog of thousands of merchants and millions of products. PriceGrabber merchant partners will benefit from a marked increase in already highly qualified traffic and placement on one of the worlds premier Internet destinations. We expect this increase in traffic to have a positive effect on partner ROI and continue to illustrate our value proposition to all partners. Building and strengthening our respected distribution network is yet another way we are able to continue to be the most trusted, innovative, and effective comparison shopping service. PriceGrabbers position as AOLs exclusive comparison shopping partner truly indicates the leadership position we have taken in the landscape of Internet shopping. We are very excited for the launch of our AOL partnership and know that this strategic alliance will create a significant increase in demand for our merchant offers. |

Re: Shopping Comparison Site PriceGrabber.com Offers Free Storefronts.
1 year after signing up I finally got around to listing an item.Â
Listing is a pain in the ass. Setting up payment methods is a bigger pain in the ass. The site supposedly supports Authorize.net but I received error messages when trying to add my account (I tried all 3 of my Authorize.net accounts). I finally gave up and decided to just accept PayPal and GoogleCheckout. EDIT: MagneticOne has a ZenCart feed mod that supports listing on PriceGrabber storefronts. |

Quote:Pricegrabber has increased the Final Sales Fee twice since this thread started. It's still less than Amazon's 8%-15% FSF fees. |

Re: Shopping Comparison Site PriceGrabber.com Offers Free Storefronts.
Today's discoveries while listingÂ
1. Pg Storefronts apparently has buyers. I noticed one seller today who has sold over 10,000 items out of his Pg Storefront in the past 12 months--with an average ASP of over $70 that's over $700,000 (translation for eBay alternative auction site users: that one seller's Pg sales are about 8X the yearly GMV of sorry ass eBay clone Plunderhere) 2. Pg listings also appear on MSN Shopping, AOL Shopping, and PCWorld |
