I've seen her being a bit more vocal in opposition to so many things these days too.

eBay wants total control and I think they are about to have it.

It will be them and a few Amway go team types on the site soon me thinks.
(No disrespect mean to anyone who have ever tried some
of these network marketing type set ups)..

I'm just about out of there as the few $$$ I spend on the bay
are not being used effectively anymore
to justify me continuing to use them much at all.

I'm tiered of being pressured so much to conform to their idiotic
and one size fits all mentality not to mention their anti competitive attitude
and approach to every thing they do.

eBay Express from the Auction-Management Point of View

I asked ChannelAdvisor President and CEO Scot Wingo if he felt the new site would bring in new sellers. He doesn't think so, because it's "kind of complicated," but believes it will bring in more buyers because the buying process is simplified. "It's more of an Amazon kind of shopping experience with the shopping cart and with no bidding." Wingo said eBay Express brings back search results sorted by relevance, not time ending, and can be sorted by different criteria.

It was a great experience, actually. They treated us very well. Put us up at a nice hotel. Fed us like royalty. Provided hookers (just kidding on that one). I was impressed with our guides, the presentations, and the discussions. I came away feeling somewhat encouraged. But the bottom line is that it's still run from the top down, and it's the top who makes the decisions. And the decisions they're making pretty much suck for the most part.

Half.com thread on eBay Express. It doesn't seem like the campers at eBay's first fixed price site are waving the eBay pom poms.

We're putting this new site through over three months of end-to-end testing in order to ensure the highest possible quality at launch.

Not very reassuring considering they've put the main eBay.com site through over 10 years of end-to-end testing and still haven't gotten past the beta stage. 

The fees are based on the format of the listing. The final value fees could be either the Marketplace or Stores fees.

8% FVF fees in Express for items listed from eBay Stores inventory

the entire site has been designed from the ground up as the most convenient way to shop fixed price items on eBay.

I could have sworn that I've heard that same statement applied to both eBay Stores and Half.com in the past. 

Not all listing upgrades will be displayed on the eBay Express finding experience

The item price and shipping cost will be presented immediately in the search experience of eBay Express

"the search experience of eBay Express".  The first "experience" was funny, the continued use of the term to describe shopping on eBay Express however has made we want to 

eBay Express buyers will not be shown any difference between a confirmed & unconfirmed address. As explained in previous posts, buyers looking for a convenient, traditional shopping experience expect to be able to enter a variety of shipping addresses.

If a seller requires a confirmed shipping address, they should use the PayPal preference to "Block" buyers with unconfirmed addresses and/or opt-out of eBay Express.

Sell on eBay China if you want seller protection. 

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we actually have quite a bit of experience with a multi-seller, fixed-price site using eBay Feedback (Half.com). We've done our best to leverage that experience on eBay Express.

An eBay seller that has all the qualifications for eBay express and has
fixed price items and an eBay store currently active on eBay.
Will those items automatically be active in eBay express or
can the seller opt out of being part of eBay express.

Hi marika*books,

This is a great suggestion. The initial version of eBay Express will include
all qualifying listings from a qualified seller, unless they opt-out.

However, the ability to only include certain listings is a great
suggestion that I will take back to the full team for a future release.

Sounds like to "FILL" the new site a lot of folks may be in for a BIG surprise.

I bet the "Opt Out" interface comes long after the launch of this cluterfu#K.

I never followed what they've done to Half.com closely.
But it sure seems that "Disaster Time" is just around the corner for sure.
