Web Analytics Provider Omniture Files for IPO

Though it has yet to set final terms, web analytics provider Omniture Inc. is going public.

In its S1 papers filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week, Omniture says it will use the proceeds to expand its sales and marketing program, improve its networking infrastructure and make a software licensing payment of $4 million.

The IPO papers also state that Omniture posted 2005 sales of $42.8 million on a net loss of $17.4 million, compared with sales of $20.5 million and a net loss of $1.3 million in 2004...

They raised $69 million yesterday in the IPO and started trading today.

Shares of Omniture Inc., an online business software provider, rose less than 1 percent in their stock market debut on Wednesday.

The shares rose 3 cents to close at $6.53 on the Nasdaq, a day after pricing at a below-forecast $6.50

Omniture Inc., an online business software provider, on Tuesday priced an initial public offering worth about $69.6 million, according to an underwriter.

The 10.7 million share offering sold for $6.50 per share, beneath a $7.50 to $9 forecast range.
