Quote:Is it normal at this site to have so many stores close at one time?  I have seen that you mention trends and goals and benchmarks.

I am just a bit confused because I see something and then I come back to show the better half and then it is gone.

Answer that one mommy Karen or just delete it if you feel it's negative.  Either way, it's here.

Thanks for hanging in there with us !!

Or not

661 - going down Ray.

Read the software and see what else you can do to make the remainder happy.

that was one of my stores.  glad that one worked out - I only owe on the other one, but I did actually sell on that one, so we'll see. I think I'm going to stay there for a bit as I really have nothing to lose other than the $10/month.  I don't even have to back up my listings, since they're created on the computer!  But I'm definitely going to be broadening my base.  Thank you for all of your help!

Quote:Actually, it's less than usual.

Seems there are a few enjoying the drama of the farewell tours, so it seems like a calamity when it's actually normal and expected.

We generally lose some longer terms Store accounts and replace them with new Store accounts on about a 3 to 2 basis, meaning for each day we lose 15 older accounts, we would add 10 new ones.

That's about the average day: 15 closures, and 10 new ones.

The newer accounts over the past 10-12 weeks have a much higher long-term rate of stability, and a vast majority of the older Stores which close are either established sellers who are more comfortable with the eBay-type environment, or sellers whose accounts we close for delinquent accounts.

Once the closures stabilize by exhausting from the intial "pool" of sellers who wanted to try WP but did not stay, we'll have our established successful sellers from that group who stayed, and it looks like about 10 new ones each day.

That is remarkably good growth.

So, although you see the present numbers going down, we see the long-term base going up.

Most business is about setting aside the "obvious" numbers and getting to the real trends, and this is a good example Smile

See all the stores closing are actually a good thing. Happy001

We added them to annoy Ray.  Smile  They don't appear on the other 276 boards here.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site.
best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011
