Better try to copy this one too before it's gone:
Quote:Thank you everyone that has been such a huge help here. There are so many great people in WP, but I have to close. I understand it takes time to build a business, but sales here are close to nothing, and I have to pay the bills. I must say I have had items listed here now over 4 months with no sales, It is the string of replies, but I wanted to repeat that so they make sense. Quote:I, too, am so frustrated. I've been here over 4 months, and had 1 sale, which of course, doesn't cover the monthly fees. I feel as though I'm invisible. This seller was all rah, rah right before Thanksgiving: Quote:Yes it is discouraging with no sales since end of sept. even the Wagglepoppers not looking at share your wares. But I still have high hopes that people will come. I see others claiming success with lots of sales. Well the Christmas Season is almost over for mailorder I can no longer give a Christmas delivery for Canada and the US is coming to a close in just a few days. But as encourgement Valintines Day Sales are just around the corner hopefully. Quote:I am in the process of closing too... Yes I would rather pay 5% than 10% but at least at the other place I had sales... Good luck over there.... Quote:Good bye and good luck. I know how you feel, there are so many auction type websites out there now that are free or minimum monthly fees, it is hard to decide where to go and list! My plan was to be off eBay by jan 2007 and here at WP completely. But the way things are going I think I have to rethink my plan. I am not a business, I am just selling stuff from my home and my homecrafted items. And, not making sales is hard and I am losing money I could be spending on my kids. Join us poppers. We were once thinking the same (and worse) thoughts. Speak freely here. We want to help!

Might not even run out of popcorn at the rate of this implosion! I was going to go with June 30th for a date but I might have to rethink that

And when that fails, you can always rely on the sales windfall anticipated for the 4TH OF JULY. What? No sales then, either? Well, just hang in there, Popper, just a few more months 'till the Christmas gravy boat comes by again. Time for a reality check, perhaps, Popper? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Guessing on D-Day is tricky due to a few factors. If KaRay can male-cow-do-do his way through explaining why the two major shopping times of the year, Thanksgiving just past and Christmas coming quickly, are so slow he might be able to limp through until eBay does their usual and raises the fees in February. Then he'll have a fresh crop of innocent lambs to prey on. :wtf:
However, the bounty of sellers he got last February either didn't know about WP1 or decided to give WP2 a second chance. There was no history built behind WP2 as it was so new. This coming year though there will be all the history of WP1 and the new batch of fresh negative history evolving from WP2 to fight against. That hill he's climbing is getting steeper and steeper. mileystuffhappens: Soooo can I cover the odds and make 2 bets?

I have to hand it to the guy, if he is able to pull that one out of his sweet-patootie, maybe he really is a genius.

Quote:OH by the way I do not like you reading my personal messages. I have had 2 removed that was anti wagglepop. Thankfully , I read them before they were gone. The only possible way for Ray to read users' PMs, which are obviously stored/sent unencrypted on WP, would be to use a tool like phpMyAdmin and read directly from the database tables. |

[/quote] Takes paranoia to a whole new level. Who has time to sit and do that?? And, what possible motivation could you have besides pure paranoia. I'm assuming he could have PHP written to automatically pull the PM info from the DB to send him PMs with certain 'trigger' words or written by certain people as well. Although that wouldn't just be paranoid. I'd have to absolutely have no life to waste my time with something like that!

Quote:I am not a fool. I am not going to sell my things cheap.. I will take them with me to the farmers market. Or sell them on ebay. I had sells there. That first response is making me close the store as fast as I can cancel the inventory and run.... I am not walking like I did at ebay...OH by the way I do not like you reading my personal messages. I have had 2 removed that was anti wagglepop. Thankfully , I read them before they were gone. Is this post from the seller who was told to have a fire sale by that obnoxious popper? I hope so. :twistedevil: |
