~bargainbloodhound, I use to be afraid of the puter. I'm self-taught and have learned what I know by making a lot of mistakes. Some I still repeat, LOL. There are a lot of places in cyberspace that one can visit to learn html and how to build websites. I found that Bravenet was one of the easiest places to start.

~chiquita, thanks and yes, TT looks like the place where I will host my site. I agree with the censorship on the forums on WP. I think there are only a handful of senior poppers there now. Personally, I wish all the sellers there nothing but the best in their business ventures. Months ago I considered going back to WP but after watching everything unfolding there, I really don't think so. I don't have any time to waste as I firmly believe that owning and building your own website, is the way to go nowadays. It's a pretty scarey thing to do (running your own website) but I believe that hard work will always pay off in the long run. If I can help any members here, please let me know.

I find it interesting how some seem to intentionally diss wagglepop, have some messages to that effect, but they can blow smoke all they want, I JUST made another sale! And the summers are the worst time to sell, so if I can sell even a few items a month during the summer, and stick thru it, I KNOW my sales will be better by the time fall comes around, and then the WP name will be a household name as one that isn't going to disappear!

If I can sell a couple of items a month over the summer, well, let's just say it would be a GREAT diet plan !!

We just had an order for several items. We have been a member for several months now but only listing for about two weeks.

ok, let's see what the sell-thru rate is for that. Oh, wait a minute, sell-thru doesn't apply when using wagglemath !

Thanks. I think I checked out ShopPal and Presto after I left WP. Haven't looked at the others. At the time, I was still recovering (emotionally, mentally and financially) from WP, and decided to do Ecrater instead. I'll do more investigating, and thanks.

Good grief, what are you selling? Estate properties? If not, then why in the world would you waste MORE of your time and energy languishing in obscurity when you could be ACTUALLY SELLING your items elsewhere?

That's what I call BLIND FAITH. You have no precedent, statistics, tract record, supporting data or anything else that would lead you or anyone else to believe WP will EVER "be better." In fact, history, sales trends, Alexa reports, Ray's reputation, and just about EVERYTHING ELSE suggests hell will freeze over long before WP ever "gets better". Great business plan there, Popper.

Dream on.  I seriously doubt WP will be a household name by fall I doubt WP will still be around come fall.

Pet guy emailed me... he also opened a store on ecrater but hasn't done anything yet with it.  He mentioned he wants to give WP a fair chance and believes it will be something someday.  I think I'm done trying to persuade him to join us...    

I gave him a link to this thread and he went over there and posted his post about the group that "bad talks" WP.   I feel stupid for contacting him in the first place... since he went right over there and posted that... I've learned my lesson.
