True, but not the point I was trying to make.

Boinktard's performance as an eBay seller is nothing short of abysmal. Has he ever made a profit on eBay? Even after his many user ID reincarnations and his store name change? And what of the sheep on his auction site? Are any of them actually covering their monthly subscription costs, let alone make a profit? Losers enjoy the company of those with like mind. And we all know what's said about the sanity of those who repeat the same behavior over and over expecting a different result. Winners aren't masochists and wouldn't stand for being fleeced, which is why the successful sellers vacated the Koolaid stand many moons ago.

Ray may be a loser, but he's not stupid. He knows he's a loser, and he knows there are other losers out there with whom he can relate. The only difference is, he found a way, through his pathetic auction site, to capitalize on their inadequacies for personal gain. He doesn't want his sellers to be successful. That would spoil his plan. As long as his sellers are losers, believing they are incapable of anything beyond three $1.99 sales in 6 months' time including free shipping (as FMG, WP's top lister, with nearly 1/3 of the listings on the site shows) -- he can fleece them until they're shorn to the bone.

Ray's Ebay store and the PSU "Ebay destroyed my business" whiner brigade fit this description to a tee.  Their failure to adopt to marketplace changes that have occurred over the past few years destroyed their business, not Ebay or infiltrating trolls.

If you don't think the $29.95/month is workable, keep checking back because I think they may be making a change in '09 to make the upfront cost easier for everyone.

While I would admit that PS and FMG probably sell more on WP than they show, the fact that FMG only shows evidence of a grand total of less than $6 gross sales plus free shipping in the last six months would make this recent post of his on PSU a bit suspect:

"For the record, my Wagglepop sales for yesterday alone were $159.84 plus shipping. My friend who you also like to dump your hatred on pulled in $180. from Wagglepop yesterday and $486.77 from all of her stores combined. Just in case you were wondering. You are free to have your own opinion as far as Wagglepop is concerned but some of us are thankful that we know better."
