Is anyone here getting enough sales off their own website to actually make any money?
Quite a few. Valley, Maggie, and Sneaky are the resident megabucks stars with warehouses, multiple employees, and more money than I have . Maggie and Sneaky were shooting stars on eBay. Maggie hasn't sold on eBay since January(?). Sneaky has said her website is 50% of sales. Valley started her site from her bedroom and skipped eBay entirely. Several others either are living off the income from their sites or have sites with sales that exceed their eBay sales. Your site could take 6 months before you start generating real income from it -maybe less, maybe more. It's a lot of work getting started but it should pay off. Ask questions whenever you need help and don't get discouraged if the first few months are slow. |

Re: Is eBay Intentionally Hiding the Listings of "Whiners & Complainers" from Search
At least I know there is hope. And, congratulations on the $2,000 sale.
I only deal in collectibles (because I happen to have tons of them I've collected and things I bought too much of back in the late 1990s when Ebay had 95%+ sell throughs). I was just planning on using it to warehouse everything and then list a few items here and there on Ebay and try to generate enough interest that way. I'm not prepared to do the paid click (although at one time I was paying Ebay $500+ a month) and am lost when it comes to SEO. |

Hi Belle...I hope I didn't offend you the other day. Glad you are back. I truly didn't mean to.
Linda, not a problem. I know you didn't mean any harm. |
Kim, Since you know the story about Bob "helping" me on eBay, you will LOVE this one... Short version: One time, I Forwarded an e-mail from a buyer to Bob. The customer was a tad nutty. Bob referred to the guy in a non-flattering way and then hit REPLY TO ALL. Talk about having to back peddle!!! |

I can top that. I did the same thing with an email from a boyfriend.
