Re: PlunderHere and AlsoShop: A Web of Privacy Violations, Backstabbing, and Deceit
I'm not done complaining about Flounderhere's inability to spell.
Professor Sneaky's Ecommerce 101 A. Buyer trust can make or break your site. B. Buyers are less likely to trust sites with misspelled words. Web design experts agree with Professor Sneaky! Quote:The site is designed poorly. Once again, if the site isn't designed professionally and is not engaging, consumers aren't going to take you seriously enough to give you their credit card. Note: Watch your typos carefully. I can't tell you how many people will judge you poorly based on misspelled words! http://www.bellawebdesignblog.com/2007/0...sons_.html The FTC and National Consumers League agree with Professor Sneaky! Edit to add: "Stupidity is its own punishment." You left out the apostrophe in "it's". Just trying to be helpful.
Thanks for the help, but in that particular instance the "its" is possessive and therefore doesn't use an apostrophe. See: "It's" vs. "Its" Hope that helps.

Quote:You might notice a few similarities to PlunderHereAlsoShop's admin 'admin' is from Kern County, California http://www.alsoshop.com/cgi-bin/auction/...w_feedback&userID=1 Plunderhere's admin 'Mo' is from Kern County, California http://www.plunderhere.com/auction/cgi-b...w_feedback&userID=101365 Kern County is a popular place: http://www.alsoshop.com/cgi-bin/auction/...w_feedback&userID=2 http://www.alsoshop.com/cgi-bin/auction/...w_feedback&userID=5 http://www.alsoshop.com/cgi-bin/auction/...w_feedback&userID=7 The auction site has 46 members counting the admin's 3 socks.
Even more interesting is the registration dates shown... Check out: http://www.plunderhere.com/auction/cgi-b...w_feedback&userID=1 Now check out: http://www.alsoshop.com/cgi-bin/auction/...w_feedback&userID=1 What are the chances of the PH Admin ID being registered on the exact same date as the brand new site AlsoShop's admin registration? And, from the same county? And, registered in 2004 when the domain was only registered on 1/11/2008? http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIs.aspx?domain=alsoshop.com&prog_id=godaddy Then, it shows Ray S as being the owner of the domain? Also, run the search for Auctionquests... it appears that domain was transferred on 1/17 to another owner. This just happens to be right after registering AlsoShop, and the negotiations for Plunderere. Who the heck is fooling who here? I don't think we have to wait for the AlsoShop admin to give herself away. It's already done. What really blows my mind is part of the reason for the sale of Plunderhere was "to take away the work crippling Mo." And, Superdeals has "have been active in the PH forums for awhile working in conjunction with the tech team to sort out and enhance the running of PH as the site has grown so fast, Mo I know was flat out with answering emails, helping in the forums, doing all the accounts and for her to work on the tech stuff too was just way too much so we stepped in. Now Mo is still doing what she does best and that's helping everybody at PH, she isn't going anywhere and will remain as a very valuable asset and partner to the business." Lies: Mo couldn't have been too overwhelmed if she started a new site while being so overloaded. More Lies: He posted less than 20 times on the forum before April to "Help" MO. The biggest lie: Mo may not be going anywhere, but she is taking her freakin mods with her to AlsoShop, owned by Ray. Superdeals is either the biggest con since Ray Romeo, or the biggest sucker since the WP cultist movement.

Thank god one of the similarities isn't the boinking misspelling of testimonials!
Quote:B. Buyers are less likely to trust sites with misspelled words.Watch this promotional video Sneaky ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Klfm2VLR_o&feature=related some highlights--jewerely, perferred It's hard to take half these sites seriously as businesses, or trust them, when everything they do is screaming clueless boinktard. Quote:, Superdeals has "have been active in the PH forums for awhile working in conjunction with the tech team to sort out and enhance the running of PH I hope not. After reading a few of his endless blind babbling to the blind posts about the server move, the new server, site security, and other site related issues it's obvious he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground as far as tech issues go. Quote:What are the chances of the PH Admin ID being registered on the exact same date as the brand new site AlsoShop's admin registration? 100% if the sites you're talking about are RScript sites. The admin ID for some reason always shows as May 14, 2004. http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/auction/vie...w_feedback&userID=1 http://www.biddersnsellers.com/cgi-bin/a...w_feedback&userID=1 |

Even without that though, there's still little question as to who is who, who owns who, and who runs who. The "respectful to Mo" comments I made earlier still stand, but the longer she and Mark go without defending the Plunderhere name and site, the harder it is to continue in that respect toward her. I would defend my own business and personal reputation if it was being shattered by a mountain of evidence showing deceit coming from myself or my business. Yet, nothing at all has been addressed since the TCH members and Mods attacked back at Superdeals. I guess their own interpretation is that they will do whatever they want, and screw those who don't like it. Speaking of typos... Plunderhere.eu's privacy policy still hasn't been changed after I posted it 4 days ago. There is still the Auctionquests reference, in place of Plunderhere, in (I think) the second section. That's how to run a business. I would have emailed the admin, but I didn't want to register to send a "Contact Us" form. After all, there is no telling where my registration info may end up with this guy.

Quote:http://www.biddersnsellers.com/cgi-bin/a...w_feedback&userID=1 I detect a Disney fan. ;D (the logo is done in Waltograph font)
The first thing I thought when I saw that logo was: Disney. If you're trying to brand your company, creating a logo that makes people think of a different company when they see it is probably not the best marketing strategy. Back to topic... Quote:Plunderhere.eu's privacy policy still hasn't been changed after I posted it 4 days ago Most alternative sites don't spend a lot of time on, or care about, their policy pages. The contact email on biddersnsellers privacy policy has been listed as support@yoursite.com for a few years now (like PH, BnS also hides their WHOIS). Many of these sites require users to verify their identities, but there is absolutely no way for users to verify the site's identity because the sites use private WHOIS and provide little to no real contact info on their websites. On that note, I leave you with a rather ironic post Mo left on PSU this week concerning NewEggMall's requirement that sellers provide buyers with full contact information: Quote:I'm glad that Newegg is doing this... with the physical addresses and real phone numbers.... This quote coming from the admin of an auction site that provides absolutely no real contact info on either their WHOIS or website. : |
