Maybe I should use BBH's words, "This likely means eBay will allow these 250 sellers to continue to use the now unadvertised tool, while penalizing anyone else who tries to manipulate its listing system in a similar manner...kind of like its "look the other way" policy for keyword spamming and web site links violations by its largest sellers" to bring the discussion back to the front page of the Stores Board. :twistedevil:

Maybe I should use BBH's words, "This likely means eBay will allow these 250 sellers...
Ethical's CEO and a former Ethical employee both told Auctionbytes there are only 100 users.

I say them all. Do what you can to be productive and get sales outside feebay.
There is only one way to "level" the playing field there. An that is to screw feebay any chance you get and help erode them even further without hurting your own integrity and morality. If I ran hundreds or thousands of listings on feebay, (after seeing what these scum bags have been doing), I'd be doing the same thing these 100 are doing now to try and "level" the playing field a bit. If that didn't work I would the sellers doing this. LOL

What a complete circus this whole thing has been. eBay's employees, pinks, and customer service reps advise that the tool is a search manipulator and that it is not eBay legal. eBay spokespeople say the tool violates the spirit of the community, and possibly the terms of service--yet the tool is still in use.
My feelings exactly! PS: I "borrowed" your words and posted them to the Stores Board. People should know about eBay's unethical practices! |

This post on the Stores Board ought to push you right over the edge! Bolding is mine.
reston_ray (1295 ) View Listings | Report Oct-25-05 12:25 PDT 83 of 84 PeSA is the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance. I'm sensitive to the posting restrictions here on this board but you can Google the name for additional information. In my understanding, subject to correction, it is a private group of approximately 500 of the top sellers on eBay and a few additional individuals. Membership is by invitation only and their main purpose is to foster the interests of their members. Among other activities they hold conferences at which eBay, other venues and services providers discuss with them their specific business concerns and possible solutions which are then followed up in ongoing communications. Details of what is taking place and any progress made is generally available to members only on their website and in emails. I am, needless to say, not a member. For example their members, and service providers catering to their interests, were very instrumental in developing and implementing the recent automated s/w for changing the duration of listings to provide favorable positioning of eBay listings. While some smaller, independent sellers has voiced concerns about possible favored treatment being afforded to members of this group, I think we should look past minor conflicts of interest at a broader picture. Much they may achieve could benefit all sellers and we should, most importantly, consider what they are doing as a role model for what we should do in organizing to further our own mutual interests. http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?t...1000109131&tstart=0&mod=1130268526458 |

Quote:their main purpose is to foster the interests of their members. what does that mean? oh wait, their main purpose is to foster the interest of their members for their leader's benefit: http://community.tuliptools.com/index.ph...834.0.html :twistedevil: Quote:Details of what is taking place and any progress made is generally available to members only except when disgruntled PeSA members fill us in on the juicy gossip Quote:While some smaller, independent sellers has voiced concerns about possible favored treatment being afforded to members of this group, I think we should look past minor conflicts of interest at a broader picture. R-R's been a long time PeSA defender on OTWA too and seems rather blind to the DEFINITE favorable treatment being afforded to members of this group. Quote:we should, most importantly, consider what they are doing as a role model I've never had a desire to be a cutthroat businessperson who is willing to shit on others just to make an extra buck. |

Perhaps RR wants to become a PeSA member...to take advantage of their 'union' and muscle.

I'm STILL cracking up over the words "role model."
